Would it be the final death knell for Clemson Men's Basketball? Brownell would still recruit players under Swinney's supervision, just that they would be allowed to play football instead.

It would not surprise me, he is proficient in a wide variety of skillsets. I heard he has his pilots license, speaks multiple languages, and rumor has it that he fought a bear one time and won by TKO.

That's absolutely ridiculous. How do you people come up with that junk? t wasn't a bear. It was a silverback gorilla that he fought while he in Uganada building an orphanage with his NIL money.

For football? Schieff will be 50 before Brownell steps down from a top 20 paying job that has no expectations.

yes, he does now.
Make the NCAAT is now the expectation. Keep doing that and then in next couple of years than you start talking about championships.
Let's face it, Coach Brownell goes two straight seasons not making the NCAAT then he will start his new $250k job in the athletic department.
There might have been not much expectation when he started, but now he has everything he needs to win and is expected to...

His extension is designed to give him a reprieve. He doesn’t need to do anything this year or next and they won’t fire him. The buyout is way too prohibitive.

He would be forced out and would want to stop coaching. He knows he was to win consistently now.

I’m not predicting whether we make the tourney or not. But there is virtually no circumstances that gets him fired next year. To get fired in 2027 would require no postseason whatsoever that season after a bust in 2026. Otherwise it would have been a one year re-up like they did after the more successful 23-24 season. They gave him a longer extension, bigger raise, and more prohibitive buyout. You don’t do that to send a message about competitiveness. You do that to reward your buddy which is why I think it was an outrageously negligent move by Neff.

Yes, for football.
Schieff will be the greatest Clemson FB player of all time. Take that to the bank.
Scratch the Clemson FB part. Greatest FB player of all time.

I’ve seen enough of Dabo to think he should just take over the whole school and turn up the academic heat on the rest of the country.

Schieffelin will not see the field...if he does, it will be sparingly.

I loved the story that Mike Leach had to be convinced not to recruit midgets to throw over the line in short yardage situations.....
Why not get tall guys like Shef that can just post up on the defender and catch high passes? Or an eight footer that takes the snap and just reaches over the line with the ball to break the plane higher up than any defender can jump?
I do like the midget technique....
