At 7-2 currently we’d be in the playoff conversation. But because we stuck in the ACC where not in the conversation. No 3 loss teams should be ranked ahead of us.

If I take my orange colored glasses off I would put us at 2 to 3 losses at this point. We would be more battle tested for sure though.

But......UGA beat Texas.

I think that's what's broken about the "inferior Clemson" narrative - it assumes the blanket superiority of the SEC.

Exactly. Answer is no chance. Our schedule is a joke this season and we haven’t beaten anyone remotely good.

Very seriously doubt this team would be 7-2 in the sec is the other argument… prob more like 5-4 at best depending on who’s schedule you are looking at give it take a game. We should be thankful to still be stuck in the pathetic conference honestly with where we are… I def see some changes in philosophy in the off season we can’t continue to be at this big of a disadvantage… and before ppl go crazy about ppl talking about the portal I mean 4-6 impact players that can help not trying to build a program around it. But the fact we don’t use it at all is a joke at this point.

If Clemson were in the SEC, we would have SEC money and the extra talent that the extra money buys. We usually win SEC games when we have equal or more talent than the opposing team. We have fared poorly during the past several decades against Georgia because we had less talent than Georgia in the years we played them. If we played Georgia 2015 to 2019, we would win all of those years.

At least 4 losses no doubt. Do not believe this team has even come close to playing to their potential, and I don’t blame the coaches for everything. We have some good plays set up but we need guys to make the plays. Shoot ourselves in the foot a good bit.

When you consider the fact that we would be a better team than we currently are. Why? Because a great deal of the elite players in the country are determined to go to the SEC, and being in the ACC we had no shot at getting them. Our recruiting and the culture is attractive and we could certainly land many of them if we were there.

It would all depend on who we were scheduled against.
But just for ##### and giggles, if we had played South Carolina’s schedule I think we would have the same record as them at worst. I truly think we may have won one of there losses. But who really knows!

We did get smoked by uga, who frankly isnt very good. We will get a better idea after the coot game. Are they actually good or is that league just terrible like i suggested earlier this year?

We would be in better shape in the sec. 2-3 losses is okay with the “sec bump”, instead we get the “acc dip”.
Remember, no sec teams in the title game last year and the new kid on the block Texas is leading the way their first year in the league.
We wouldnt have more than 3 losses with Florida’s brutal schedule, and we’d be ranked higher.
