Brent V leaving Dabo reminds me some of Rich Rod

leaving Tommy Bowden. Seemed like Rich Rod was the brains behind TB. Those 2 together had success at Tulane and had Clemson on the right trajectory at the time. Rich Rod left and it seems like TB could never recover on his own.
Starting to wonder if we are going down a similar path again.

Fair question. I don’t think Dabo is an Xs and Os guru.

if BV was the magic to Dabo's success, why didn't he

make Bob Stoops just as successful? BV was on the way out at OU when he came here. People need to stop making crap up.

To be fair... BV left OU b/c Bob Stoops brought in his brother to be co-DC with BV.... BV wasn't having any of that.
Not commenting on the post, just about BV's situation leaving OU to come to Clemson.

I understand what both Stoops and BV were doing....

Stoops wasn't firing BV per se, but it also wasn't a ringing endorsement either.

Behind great head coaches are great coordinators.

Not surprisingly, Dabo doesn’t look nearly as good with subpar coordinators.

...yes, replace proven coordinators with unproven coordinators along with hiring inexperienced position coaches and you get what you have here. I am not sure that Riley knew exactly what he was walking into. Might have been a bad move career-wise.
I still don't know what Pearman does all day.

That's not quite accurate in this situation. Our defense is pretty elite and ranked in the top 10. They were pretty good last year too. Our offense is fairly pedestrian, err not good. I see what you mean and we are definitely off the mark for being an elite team. We seem to have regressed.
