If Bryan Bresee's CFB career is almost over..

what did he really do?? Rarely did I see him make plays. Maybe he was always double-teamed or something, but there's no way he had the impact of a Big Dex or Carlos Watkins.
Yes, I am well aware of his family's situation. That is extremely tragic.
I'm referring strictly to his on the field play. Some even say he's a top ten pick. Maybe the top ten of the third round. I really like the guy, but just rarely ever heard his name called.

Other than family tragedy he has also battled injury and illness. You’re low class for this.

Freshman year was pretty solid but he's not really done much since, unfortunately. Hard to believe he would be a first rounder but I see his name in every mock so who knows.

He’s been “sick” a lot.

Not sure what’s going on. I feel for the kid but I almost wish he just took the year off (which I wouldn’t blame him for one bit)

Honestly didn’t know he played today. Don’t remember seeing him or hearing his number called. Hope he gets back into shape and has a good year next year.

He was amazing as a freshman, was great as a Sophomore, tore his ACL sophomore year on a play against NC State where he was held and it wasn’t called (just have to point that out because I hate ACC refs), and just had the worst year of his life (I feel confident in saying that). No Clemson fan would assume this is supposed to be the best form of Bresee, and no Clemson fan would trash him online for his performance this year, understanding what he’s been through physically and emotionally. I honestly expected him to shut his season down halfway through, but he kept coming back and playing. Thankful for his effort and hope to see him either get drafted high or come back to Clemson next year.
Go Tigers!

It kind of shows what a fine line there is to greatness at that level. He is not in the shape that he needs to be to be elite right now. He will likely be given a pass by someone if he decides to leave, particularly if he does well at the combine. He is unlikely to have kidney problems or strep to derail him physically on a regular basis, and his toughness dealing with Ella's illness and ultimate death would probably be seen as an asset.
I wish him the best either way. He will increase his draft stock if he comes back, but he would be a year closer to being past his rookie contract if he leaves with similar wear and tear on his body. He will become a rich man either way, so I hope that he does whatever he believes will bring him the most joy. If he has something to prove and stays, then I will celebrate our good fortune. If he wants to leave and move past this rough time in his life, I certainly understand, and will celebrate having him here for 3 years and hope that the Panthers draft him as their first Clemson draft pick.

He will be a 2nd rounder at the worst supposedly. Before the season he was considered a top 10 pick. Now he is considered earlier 2nd rounder.

I think this post sums up this situation perfectly! I am hopeful I get to see him have 1 more sack in the ACC championship game! Go Tigers!

He needs to come back and predict he will do so. This was essentially a lost year for obvious reasons.

I'm sure he is disappointed, just as we are. The facts are though that the defense was lauded as potentially the best ever preseason but no one really stepped up to be the lynch pin and lead.

Imo our defensive coordinator has put the players in a position not to win. I think the talent is there, it's just the d coordinator does not need to be coaching d -1 football. There is no way this same group of players gives up 31 with coach v. No way in hell.
