Yes! what if the sky was purple. Stop the weird HOPE for BB. He is who he is: A barely-get-along-alley HC.

Might say that the players have more to do with it than the coach does. Virginia last night....percentage blame for coaches and for players? I'd go C-30 & P70

Success in sports is a synergy between the coach and players

… sure, the players play, but it’s the coach’s job to have them prepared and in the right frame of mind to compete.
UVA got embarrassed because that was not the case last night.
And while the team did not deliver and they both are at fault, the buck stops at the coach’s feet.

I respectfully have to agree to disagree. That UVA team was prepared, they were just ice cold. That is not on preparation. They got LOTS of high quality open looks and the shots were not falling. You can say that is was a recruiting failure, with not having enough shooters, but the players they did have were unable to execute.

Brad has two top 40 finishes IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER. Those were at Clemson (in 14 years).
Clemson has afforded him an opportunity of a lifetime. Two top 40 finishes were accomplished because he’s at Clemson.
The reason he hasn’t done better is himself and himself only.

We are in the NCAA Tournament for just the 14th time in school history.

Of our 14 appearances in the Big Dance, we've advanced only 6 times. One of those times was in 1990 which no longer counts because we cheated.
Accounting for that, 5 different basketball coaches over a period of nearly 50 years have only managed to advance 5 times. Foster had one, Ellis had one, Barnes had one, and Brad has had two.
In our illustrious basketball history, we've only been ranked in the final AP poll six times.
Yet you think there is nothing wrong with the program?!? Come on. Get your head out of the sand.

In the 64 team era, Brad makes the tourney 28.5% of time. The other coaches combine for 36%. That’s Apple to apples. And if you want to caveat Ellis then Brad’s first win needs a caveat for being in the first four, an event that didn’t previously exist.

Talent is a subjective term when talking about Clemson basketball. We get a gem in the rough once in a while, but not the consistent ringers the great teams do. Change that and we get better.

Except he has never had any success except at tiny schools like UNCW. He was still one and done as a 16 seed in the NCAAT. It’s kinda like saying Shane Beamer will go somewhere and win the Natty. Just not in his wheelhouse.

Shyatt happens! Larry went on to Florida after Clemson and won two Natty's as their assistant.

I had heard a lot of rumors about Shyatt being the brainchild behind those nattys. "Billy, we should throw it to Noah and Horford."
