If BB were to leave, has anyone mentioned Greg Buckner as a

candidate for the job?
He's coached with the Houston Rockets for the last 4 years and has only been outta the league for 6. He was one of my favorite tigers and it'd be cool to see him back on campus.
And, just to mention, i am a Brownell supporter but just talking about options IF he were to take another job.

He would be on my list but not at the top.
I would throw everything I had at Wade from VCU. If he said no then I would start looking more at people like Buckner.

What has Wade done? Other than being a Clemson guy? Let's see what's going down at VCU once Smart's team is out. Not saying I don't like Wade, but why throw everything at him???

He recruited a lot of the guys at VCU. He also was doing a pretty good job at Chattanooga

No they havent because he has no college experience. can he recruit? He's never had to. CU would need a proven recruiter. Like you I like Buckner. Just not a fit at this time if we need a HC. Get college experience and maybe later

Did he earn his degree ?

And even if he did ... does Greg Buckner have any more college coaching credibility that Wolfpack hero Sydney Lowe did when NC State hired then fired him ?

Yes, someone suggested Buckner a few weeks ago.

I think it's a horrible idea. I like Bucknera lot, seems like a great guy who loves Clemson, but he has never coached on the college level. We don't need to roll the dice on someone like that when there are plenty of successful coaches who have proven themselves.
