There is a much better chance of USC losing to UNC (not a large one, but wayyyy better than the likelihood of VT upsetting Alabama). In that case, we would probably rise to 6 in both the USA Today poll and the AP.

VT matches up well with Alabama, at least from a defensive standpoint. They need Logan Thomas to become really good, really fast, though. I think Bama wins by 10.
