That's not really something to brag about.
I know people who use cash/debit for all purchases. I guess they like paying full price.

might have to make the switch

that I got 16 or 17 years ago when I lived in Charlotte and traveled a bunch for work; could rack up miles since we booked on our own cards. Don't travel nearly as much now, and we book on a corporate AMEX, but I spend more and put just about everything I purchase on the (now) American Airlines/Barclay's card. Think the annual fee is ~$99, and it's good for a couple domestic freebies a year. Worth it, imo. I flew to the natty on miles from that card.

I have the Discover and Costco Visa
Nov 4, 2016, 11:55 AM

Both of them have nice cash back rewards. The discover rotates, but I pretty much spend my monthly cash back directly on Amazon every month so I don't really see that per say.
The costco card sends you a check every year and I have earned $200 since I got the card in July.

It just really depends on how much effort you want to
Nov 4, 2016, 11:55 AM

put into getting cash back.
No effort - 2% on everything card Slight effort - get a couple cards that give 3-5% in different categories but a measly 1% in others Huge effort - the sky is the limit
