I watched the State vs Wake game, and I gotta' say that they

look like a much better team offensively than BC, L'ville or FSU. I hope we aren't catching them just as they start clicking because, depsite their record, Wake is not a bad team defensively and State ate their lunch.
I truly believe that this game will be very simialr to the last meeting in Raleigh. Brissett reminds me a lot of Dechone Kiser. If he can produce a bit with his feet and get the underneath routes going, they will challeneg our defense.
Their defensive line is improving, especially with the emergence of Darian Roseboro (Can you believe we actually stopped recruting this guy..too deep), but I think we still will be able to move it on them enough to put up 30 points.
Starting to get nervous.

Did last year's Brissett remind you of Kizer?
NC State needs their A++ game and hope Clemson is all thumbs to have a chance. The talent and coaching gap is that wide...seriously.

"Wake is not a bad team defensively"? Huh .........

Wake Forest gave up 30 to Syracuse, 31 to Indiana, 24 to FSU, 50 to UNCheat, and 35 to State. I might be crazy, but I do believe our offense is better than any of those teams. Without turnovers, we eclipse the 35+ mark easily.
On the other side of the ball, in the two prior games to Wake Forest, NCSU put up a staggering 13 against Louisville, and 13 against VT. Now, I might be wrong again, but I believe our defense is the best in the ACC. I don't see the Pack scoring more than 17 as long as we don't give up chunk plays.
My prediction ..... we win 41 - 10.

The Wake team that gave-up 30 to Cuse and 31 to Indiana...

not to mention 50 to UNCheat?
While I'm not expecting another Miami-like beatdown, provided we don't turn the ball over a bunch and give State a lot of help, I think Clemson wins handily. At this point, NC State simply cannot match Clemson's speed, talent and depth.

That's how I felt after the first quarter, but did you see the rest of the game? The only score after the first quarter was a punt return that was covered terribly.

Wake's defense is ranked 35th in total defense and ranked 76th in rushing defense. NC State ran for 248 yards on Wake and passed for 227 yards. NC State may have a decent offense but they ain't faced anything like our defense. I seriously doubt NC State runs for 248 yards on Clemson. If we show up focused and ready to play our brand of balanced football we will steam roll NC State.

that the other team is world beaters...it's what I do. OK, I don't really fret Wofford but I certainly was pacing prior to App St. I can't eat before and during most games. I just lose all appetite.

But that game along with the cumulative effect of BC, GT, and the last 30+ against unranked teams, convinced me that Dabo gets these boys ready.

like what's about to descend on them Saturday.
As for the Wake game, they hit some big plays in the first quarter, but it looked to me like they were basically shut down the rest of the game. The only score in the 2nd half was a punt return.
I am not nervous about this game.

I understand the nerves. I think it is that Clemson is undefeated and have a lot to lose if we do lose this year. We have so much riding on each game from here on out and it is wonderful. We can win the division, conference make the playoffs and possibly win it all.

LOL.... I watched it too. The wake d played horrible, their tackling and positioning of defense was atrocious. State will not get those big plays against us.... Wake is BAD!!!!

NCST got off to a quick start against Wake in the 1st quarter scoring 28 points. The final 3 quarters...7 points. Wake isn't a bad team defensively, but they really lack a pass rush, which allowed Brissett to pass at will, thus setting up the running game. We won't allow Brissett anywhere near the time he had to pick apart Wake, and the combination of our pass rush/run defense and secondary is unlike anyone in the ACC. We are now clicking on all cylinders offensively, and NCST just won't be able to keep up.
My prediction: Clemson 38, NCST 13

I honestly think we win handily if....
We are prepared and focused. I guess that's my concern. With all this recognition this past week and so much youth, you have to be slightly worried about complacency.
Someone made the comment that I should trust in the coaches. Well, it's not the coaches I'm worried about. If the Tigers come out focused, we win. Otherwise, you never know. State isn't anywhere close to the Tigers but they sure don't need any help at home either or you never know.

and that can mean a lot at home, especially for first quarter - and like B.C. they may get the lead, however I think Tigers will wear them out and roll again - 38 - 17?

I don't think it'll be anything like last week, and I can see them getting some scores - but in no way do I think their QB is anywhere close to Deshone Kizer. Kizer is the best QB we'll face all year, probably even in post-season play. I can't take anything away from that kid.

I was there, and NCSU looked ok, but not great. A lot of mistakes for a team playing Wake. Wake is terrible. It was interesting though the amount of pressure that they were able to get on Brissett

VT beat their OL consistently, too.
