But now that it's over i just want to say that I'm not surprised at all that we lost. I know some on here like to come after people who are leveling honest criticisms but if you have watched this team over the past couple months and haven't seen a slide in performance then you aren't paying attention.

Have we had a pretty good season in terms of wins/losses? Yes but if you look deeper, some of those wins were absolute miracles and no team can come back from huge deficits every game for an entire season.

Hopefully some kind of spark is lit in the regional and I haven't given up hope but if we are knocked out pretty quickly I will not be surprised. This is not a post to bash the team, just the truth

Nowhere near the same team. Collapsed around the nd game and are barely .500 since. Doubt we go 2 and out but 1-2 in our own regional wouldn’t surprise me at all.

I totally agree...we do not have the pitching to even win a regional let alone go deep in Omaha. It is what it is. Bakich needs to recruit some serious arms.

No excuse to lose to Miami. I think Miami was liked #90 in RPI . Losing to them has to negatively affect your national seeding. Miami has proven all year to be at best a mediocre baseball. There was a reason they were the #11 seed in the ACC. They just weren’t very good.

Tell me about it. I know what you mean. Yes, very enjoyable year and games. The comebacks were exciting. Yes, it's baseball and you're not going to win them all. I am curious why we didn't bring in Gordon for the 8th. But that aside, we have had key injuries before the season and during the season. We're a good team, not a great team. Can't expect to win every game 12-11.
