We have very little crime in Harbison and what we do have usually comes from Columbia city. Forest acres where you live is right in the middle of little Chicago and close to Willy B a run down area.

Nah Irmo is going down the toiletbowl and has been for quite some time. Even my friends who live there say it. nothing like the irmo they grew up in.

Wife and I were on Lake Murray Blvd. At the Wild Birds Unlimited when it happened, buying new bird houses and mounting hardware. While loading stuff into the car we heard a couple Papa John's drivers talking about their active shooter trainings, but I didn't think too much about it. On the ride back to Chapin is when we heard the news on the radio.

were in the mall near the shootings and evacuated through JC Penney's but were locked down in the parking lot.
Said people stampeded throughout the mall yelling and screaming, which apparently produced some of the injuries. As it is close to where I live, I usually shop the mall, although sparingly after the incidents six years ago.
I just don't understand the mindset of some people. Now, a suspect in custody is claiming self-defense...carrying a loaded weapon without a CWP into that type of setting, then opening fire.

Friarsgate… cmon irmotig. That is hot boy central. And river walk and chestnut hills are known for shady activity. You may think irmo/ Harrison is like it was 20 years ago. But it’s trash my friend. All around Harbison /st andrews rd is similar. Only nice areas really are out near lake / maybe Chapin. Oh and maybe ascot. Besides that irmo is a pooohole.

I've been living here for over 30 years and there is no crime in my neighborhood...not saying that crime doesn't happen close by but there is a lot of crime in Columbia period. It's funny that folks from the city love to come to this area and shop. You know the Columbia Mall is very safe, LMFAO. Bottom line, I have no fear. Our entire country is going corrupt so good luck in finding that perfect place.
Tinfoil, we know that Greenwood is a very sought after area.
