Beat by Liberty. If so, any chance this guy had a bet with Gamecock friends (still stupid) that Clemson would win the regional and if he lost the bet he had to do something with the rock. I'm just curious wth he was thinking.

He lives in the middle of nowhere in NC so I am going to say no. I was wondering if his brothers and him just got bored when they were camping in the area and wanted to touch The Rock. They drove there in their truck and hopped the fence. Then they saw they need to break the cover off if they were going to and accidentally damaged the rock in the process.
Anyways just some dumb theory.

The way it turned out, if he really is a Clemson fan, how much would it suck to be banned from there forever?
Anyway, I have no mercy for this kid. I hope he pays dearly.

Shhhhhhhhh, don't say anything as strongly as pay for it dearly. There are some that will say you're crazy and that you embarrass them b/c the dude is just a misguided kid that made a simple mistake. And that he really didn't mean to climb the fence, bash the box off the pedestal, and beat the h&ll out of the rock until he broke and defaced it forever. He just made a simple mistake. Don't be mad at him, just be glad and thankful that he didn't get hurt with all that bashing with his tiny little kid hammer.

If he truly does turn out to be a Clemson fan, I think we should handle this internally. Bathroom cleanup with a tooth brush for 5 years. HIs dad's company should also make restitution by doing all of the masonry for the Oculus for free. Thoughts?

Malicious injury to property is 5 years, I'm pretty sure. My nephew got 5 years suspended to 2 years with 3 years probation. He did 18 months in prison and the entire 3 years probation. And we don't ever have to worry about him knocking out another windsheild.
