That Auburn wanted to wear down the CLEMSON defense and take control of the game in the fourth quarter but the depth of the Tigers didn't allow that to happen. It will be interesting to see how upcoming opponents play the Tigers. We often say "we too deep" in jest when, in reality, we are. Amazing job by the coaches Saturday.
Using Pettaway to rush the ball into the defensive front to tire them out didn't work. Wonder what Louisville will do with Mr Jackson? I'm betting that coach Reid and his players win this game for the big orange. I'm predicting three nits.

Big tackles and big relief minutes by Pinckney , Robinson and Huggins . Hard to wear out a DT rotation when our backups play like starters from jump .

The O-line has some work to do and Bryant needs to slow the game down just a tad. He also needs to throw the ball a little faster instead of kind of lobbing it like he does. I am, however, behind him 100%! All in all, a win is a win. Just my 2 cents... even though I am a girl! LoL!

I also agree with your analysis. Two games into the season and we know the Tigers will continue to improve. Look for good things to happen. Perhaps toughest game coming up

a couple of other points:
1. Penalties (crappy ones) kept Auburn alive in that first drive
3. How was the hold on the missed field goal? I know it was Dabo's boy, but I was at the game and couldn't rewind.
4. We have an 8-quarter defense. Give BV a BOCE (Big Ole Contract Extension)!

Good question about the holder. The holder is just as important as the kicker. Must have great timing and correct position. Greg Huegel was pretty dependable last year. He is also getting used to a new holder. I trust our coaches will make a change if necessary.

backing up to receive punts. It seemed like he and Scott never fielded a punt without backing up 5+ yards after the ball was in the air.
It was so bad last year I wondered if they were instructed to make sure to start so far up field they had to turn and run backward to get in position to make the fair catch. Ray Ray is going to be a really good return guy, imo.

Going back to 2014, Clemson is 40-5. I'm not sure being 10-1 when the QB has 15 or more rushing attempts is the most statistically interesting thing I've ever read.

Hunter Renfrow is the key to success. What a possession receiver, the route he ran for the game winning first down was clutch. IMHO KB2 holds on to the ball a little too long and does not have the progressions down yet, but when he needed to he made a perfect psss to Renfrow to seal the win. Gutsy call and shows the coaches know he can make the play when he needs to, he will need to get better as the year progresses ... we are going to need points vs Louisville because the magic man Lamar will get his yards...
