That is why college football is becoming more difficult to support. A guy who couldn’t win the job somewhere else decides to go somewhere and has a good year and then leverages it to get more. No loyalty to a university that made you and gave you your shot

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I also blame Duke. With all the money the university could potentially tap into, it's mind blowing they didn't prioritize football 6 decades ago. Doesn't mean they'd have to dish on bball but they could have helped the acc too.

I have always thought that Duke thought they were too good to be in the ACC and wished they were an Ivy League school. My daughter went to Wake Forest and despised Duke.

I’m okay with kids transferring once and not missing time. However, that should be it. There’s something to be gained from sticking it out and ensuring to earn playing time or at least bonding with the team in a support role.

portal paperwork. In fact, I don't think they ever made the actual portal listing on 24/7 before they had already committed to ND.
It is quite obvious that ND and Marcus Freeman are one of the programs that is "tampering" with players in other programs during the season that both Mack Brown and Dabo have talked about. Nothing will happen to ND for it (they are in the beloved "protected class" from the NCAA) but just another reason I hope ND loses every game they play.

There are other independents that have the same opportunities as Notre Dame. They just aren't blue blook programs.
And they don't quite have all of the same benefits - they cannot get a CFP bye.
