Tigerstripe777's was the post of the day. When it was vandalism to WB, everyone said "We just made it look better and it was funny." The vandalism to Howard's Rock is equally inexcusable and there is no "ours was less worse than yours" in this situation.
It's getting out of hand on both sides.

Spray paint is ABSOLUTELY not as bad as breaking something and taking the piece that was broken.
You can paint over paint and restore it to "just like new" condition. You cannot do that with the rock. It doesn't surprise me that you wouldn't understand that... you are a South Carolina fan after all.

Fact #1: The vandalism to the cockabooses is fixable. (although I'm obviously not condoning it, and I am obviously embarrassed by whoever did it if they were in fact a tiger).
Fact #2: Our rock is not fixable. We will likely never see that piece again. It is gone forever. The rock will forever be further from its original shape.

but before you compare injuries of players to Howard's Rock, how about wait until the culprit is found. Even as a diehard Gamecock fan, this type of BS upsets me. Just like what happened to the trees at Toomer's Corner. Did anyone ever stop and think it might not have been a football fan at all? Maybe someone who couldn't care less about Clemson, South Carolina or the rivalry. It's not surprising to see this type of post on this board, but it is sickening. Guess that is what you call "tater logic".
