Sammy got to work on being the Sammy of last year and get in "game shape".
and I am willing to bet a good bit of time was spent working on the D. I fully expect to see a fired up and much better D this week against Heisman Thomas and the Chokies!!

How???? We are still 14th in poll and we are freakin 19th in the BCS poll...... How did having a week off help us in our ratings?

The polls will work itself out. We lost to FSU, so I have no problem being where we are at, though we are ranked low due to Auburn just falling apart this year and the FSU loss.

My post has absolutely nothing to do with rankings

it is about preparing and getting issues fixed.
By the way. We did move up in the AP since we were 16th a week ago, so I guess it did help there a bit too.
Nice try though!!

Losing to FSU put us there in the polls not a bye week.

Not the complete story, the train wreck that is Auburn also put us where we are

Prep wise it has to help, lets face it, the defense has been a train wreck. Marginally better than last season but still lacking in many areas.
Polls? Why is anyone worried about polls? FSU still has to lose to someone in conference for CU to make the ACCCG. Take care of winning the games left on the schedule and the polls take care of themselves. However with the mess and lack of quality programs and wins in the ACC, I doubt Clemson has much of a chance to move beyond 10th place if they win out.
The Conference as a whole sucks, the only way for Clemson and FSU to garner any respect on a national level is for them to beat UF and USC respectively.

Our D hasn't been the problem with VT. Heck we haven't had ANY problem with VT recently!
