I read that Tony Elliott’s buyout is $8 million.
Someone please tell me that isn’t true.

My understanding is that it's 25% of contract running through '25, so 2M.

How can you be so critical of Our OC and yet defend the mediocrity the basketball HC produces? Seems more than a bit hypocritical to me. But then, that’s just my humble opinion. Go Tigers!

Well, Brad isn’t getting 5 star talent to work with. So there’s a start. We’re also never dead last in the country offensively. Tony has managed to do less with more.
Brad does a lot with less. And I’m very critical of Brownell.

The only people bringing up Clemson basketball in my football posts are overly sensitive Clemson football fans who think that their criticisms of our basketball program somehow ease the sting of a disappointing football season.

I am critical of our OC this year because he is the highest paid

offensive coordinator in college football and has top 5 talent to work with, yet we are 121st in offense out of 130 teams.
That’s not cutting it.
Bringing up basketball shows your own insecurities. But since you brought it up, our head coach who is not in the top 50 in salary, who has a staff of assistant coaches who are paid below the national average, is coming off of year where we had a freshman class ranked in the top 25, finished ahead of numerous ACC programs with far more basketball resources than we have, and were seeded in the top 30 in the NCAA Tournament. That’s called overachieving, and it’s something we used to do in football too.

He is a concern troll that does not ever want what is best for Clemson. He is delighted with how this season is going.

I’m not saying you’re not a “real fan” as in I’m a better fan than you. It’s not a subjective analysis. I’m saying you’re an actual troll who is not a fan of Clemson at all. It is literally the only way to rationalize your posts. You’re very good at it. But you aren’t a Clemson fan.

I’m sorry do you have to have a Pollyanna view in your mind of the football team play to be a true Clemson fan? Translated: being concerned for the obvious problems that exist doesn’t mean you aren’t a fan… Get over yourself!

I agree I thought the Judge could only defend coaches I have been disappointed in his criticism of the football program that has had much more success than the basketball Judge you can’t have it both

Do you not think our offense through 4 games this year deserves some criticism?

I am curious to see what he does the remainder of the season.
Do I expect him to make any noteworthy changes? No.
Do I think he knows how to make the needed changes? I honestly don't.
But I think he deserves an opportunity to coach the rest of the season, and Dabo will decide then whether he's keeping Elliott or going in a different direction.

According to Fan Nation it's almost 8 million. "Tony Elliott makes the list at 11th overall with $1.6 million. Both Clemson assistants have roughly a $7.4 million buyout if there were to choose to test the waters as a head coach this offseason."
