So what’s the disappointment about? Have not lost a conference series. Sorry but you’re not going to win every game that’s baseball. But this team looks to finish the regular season with 41-43 wins. That should be enough to host a regional and super regional.

Take a look at the schedule coming up and if you feel good about winning that many with our pitching staff , then you get the optimist of the year award . We likely finish under 500 against the next 4 teams we play . Coastal and UGA both beat us, FSU beats us at least 2 out of 3, Louisville beats us probably 2 out of 3, and we beat NC State 2 out of 3. This is a very realistic outlook based on our pitching woes . It is a 1 game thing , Stanford put 21 runs in 2 games against us !

Since you seem to have it figured out, I expect you to come back on this board when it turns out all your gloom & doom just doesn’t play out like you predicted & tell everyone you were dead wrong. But, we all know that won’t happened . All you extremely negative posters just seem to disappear when things go well.

Worry about those things IF they actually happen... You are creating scenarios and spewing crap as if it's factual. Our pitching wasn't great this weekend but we took 2 of 3.

where you warned everyone that bad times were ahead....well you were spot on and at this point the optimism spewed is really based on nothing other than pure hope. There is no way for any of us to know what will happen over the next few weeks but right now its not looking good. Multiple issues.

The positivity is pure hope. But if you look at the predictions they were mostly wrong. He was just throwing mud hoping it would stick. Most objective fans knew this stretch would be tough, it just went worse than expected. We were overrated but this isn’t as bad as they’ve played lately either. While other teams are heating up, they’re cooling off and mistakes are multiplying.

how exactly were the predictions wrong? It has tyrned out worse actually than most of us saw coming. never did i think we were this bad and would lose 8 or 9 of our last 10 games and throw away our super regional.

The biggest positive from today's game (didn't watch just looking at box score), is McGovern getting the final strikeout in his only batter faced. This team gets a few arms back and somehow able to get Gaffney and Cam going they'll be hard to beat come post season.
