Monday player notes: Talented freshman group living up to hype

Two of the Tigers’ five-star freshmen -- defensive end Myles Murphy and quarterback DJ Uiagalelei -- met with the media Monday for the first time on campus after seeing their first action, with Murphy leading the way defensively in team-highs with tackles (7), tackles for loss (3) and sacks (2). Teammates and coaches weighed in on the two as well in Monday's interviews. Full Story »

I think that DJ will be another 1st rounder out of Dabo Swinney's Clemson FB teams, but it doesn't how far he can throw a FB, we'll just need him to find his open receivers and hit them with accuracy, and he will learn to do that at Clemson!!!

Don't worry Mom, Dad, and family, your son will leave Clemson as a great young man, and a much better FB player that will be drafted into the NFL!!! His college FB Head Coach is very smart Christian man, and he has been the best thing for Clemson FB since the Tiger Paw that he has made noticeable around the world, Go Tigers!!!!

WOW.....super impressive interview for a freshman. Could not help but notice the genuine enthusiasm and thought to his responses. Seems to be a team first player and will have no problem leading the Tigers when called upon. Congratulations and thanks to his parents and family for a job well done. Clemson will do its best to continue helping your son to be a great young man we’ll all continue to be proud of. Go TIGERS.

I may never learn to pronounce Uiagalelei,

but I'll practice. He seems like a great young man. I wish I could have spoken that intelligently as a freshman. Clemson gets the best people and they're all trying to get better. I feel so lucky to have been born a Clemson Tiger.
