I really thought the "Coot Lurker" option would work. we could of least seen how many were on here.
chickens really are that dumb.

landblasted by the hosts. GCockWill is routinely humiliated.

I thought GcockWill was a plant?
just like Delvin and looper?

the phone lines are always jammed on at least one show.. yet no one ever "gets in"

I think Snaphook is a plant just so Mickey can talk about golf.

Philpott sucks.

Exactly. Hard to think of a bigger waste of time.***

Poor excuse for radio. When I'm in the area and tune in I listen about 5 minutes and find something decent. Clemson could and should do much better.

It’s just not safe to sit here and click a button during a pandemic.

Should have listed time period they are in. Have no idea what some of them are called.

I generally tune in at work for the Mickey Plyler Show and the press box, sometimes I listen to Road Rage in the afternoons. I liked Qualk and Kelly's show for a while, but no longer find it enjoyable to listen to ever since the Covid Crap started. So if I had to rank them:
1.) The Mickey Plyler Show
2.)The Press Box
3.) Road Rage
4.) Qualk and Kelly

If you don't like a show on WCCP it's easy to fix. There are buttons or knobs that change the station or turn it off.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly, the Roar line up is 100x 's better than both ESPN Upstate's & FoxS1 Spartanburg's...

Dec 18, 2020, 3:54 AM

100 x's better is a conservative estimate-

Worse intro is “It just doesn’t matter, it just doesn’t

matter, it just doesn’t matter!” Best intro is Quak and Kelly’s.

Although I'm a frequent caller to radio shows, I've never listened to one. Isn't that how it works, otherwise you would have coherent callers.

I like Mickey when he is talking sports, but he has the longest commercials on the station and then when he comes back he always adds a few personal commercials.
I just can't take it much.

The worst is the caller Robert on Walts show. Swear to goodness he is on every time I turn on the car. He is always giving his picks. Nobody cares dude.

You are right about Walt. Lines are loaded yet the same 6 callers each day......

Re: Least favorite show on The Roar?

Haven't been listening long as I am in VA but starting streaming it a couple of years ago. I don't understand the hate for Walt but then again I wasn't listening during the Paul Johnson years. I think Walt has a great deal of knowledge of the game and prepares well. I have called a couple of times and he has always been gracious.

I agree with what someone said about the Pressbox sounding like 2 guys at Wafflehouse at 2 am. Total lack of preparation

I called into OOB once and Qualk was a bit of an A hole but overall think their show is OK. Mickey is fine but the personal testimonial crap that he and Walt does for ads drives me F ing crazy.

They are all pretty insufferable, no idea why people like Plyler, it's amazing how bad he is on radio after how long he has done it, never has smart takes and sounds terrible.

I’ve only listen a few times, But press box is insufferable , Brad’s a coot and Ben can’t talk

I just hate Brads voice. I hate how by trying to show emotion or sound like he's interested he just talks louder with the same monotone. I can't really listen to him. I used to enjoy listening to Mickey in the morning but I haven't listened to much WCCP since covid started.

I miss Roy Philpott.. he over-cooked the ham on football and we all loved it. Quaaak talks about some baseball/basketball team (which no one cares about) and Walt is just too dang full of himself. I’m just being honest.. a college football town just wants “more football” please
