Kind of like having Renfrow back out there. Ship makes the defense have to spread out when they pass to him, then if they don’t pass Maffah burns them up the middle if they hand off to him ! I hope we see this a lot Saturday night !

Been saying this all year. Why did it take our staff 8 games to figure out that Shipley is not a btw the tackles runner? How many times has he fumbled trying to run through the line? He needs space to see the field and use a little shake.

We only have to suffer 2 more games with this self promoting athlete. One of the few in 35 years of following Clemson that I will not miss.
From Kevin Mack to Travis they did their rolls with excellence and kept hair mouths shut and did not keep harping on themselves.

Same here. When we first saw the 2 back set late last year I was saying send one of them wide to the flats and the other up the middle. Really spreads the defense.

Pretty sure its 3 but there are also 2-3 on the QB-RB exchange on RPOs and I think they fall on QB even if RB pulls it out. But these plays were runs btw tackles as they were all inside the 10.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Shipley fan, but we have not used his skillset to his or our advantage. Had same conversation a couple times at game this past wknd.

But Shipley will continue to run the same we he has and he will still catch passes out of the backfield. No changes, and why would there be?

I do NOT like passes that are to a receiver that is running away from the line of scrimmage. If you are going to throw it sideways to Shipley be sure he is running forward and don’t throw any balls backwards that could be recovered by the defense if we don’t catch it.
