Somebody who knows more about this please fact check me. Is there any other undefeated team with three wins against teams that were ranked in the top 15 when they played them?

us in that regard with 4..have beaten a ranked lsu and ranked bama..and i think pitt and florida were ranked as well when they defeated them

scheduling shell game. One I think the SEC has mastered. So the metric doesn't really mean what it is intended to mean. I like win/loss record of opponents vs current RPI better.
As a practical example, Pitt not looking like a great win for anyone at this point.

Exactly. If a team is good enough to be ranked, then they'll be ranked for the whole season even if you beat them. Only example where it may matter is if a team has a season ending injury to a great QB or something
