four-wheeler. Some have told me a Honda is the way to go and others say a Kawasaki is. What do you recommend?

But can't really argue with the Japanese brands being good.

I had a Kawasaki in my younger days. Never had a minutes worth of trouble. Never had a Honda but I have heard positives things there too. If the same holds true as back then, the Kawasaki was the least expensive. Don't think this helps much. Either way, MFO, Jr. will be thrilled.

They're assembled in the US with foreign-made parts, just like the Japanese brands. Hondas are made in Timmonsville, SC. Yamahas are made in Newnan, GA.

Depends on how it will be used. If you want something to tool around the back 40 occasionally then I would go electric. Way less maintenance and guaranteed to start every time assuming you charged the battery.

I am speaking with a sketchy memory of what a deer hunter friend has told me. Pretty sure his current 4-wheeler is a Honda and he says it is head and shoulders above the one he had before especially to the driving ease and going in and out of 4 wheel drive. The Honda shifts right in and out. His previous one took several steps to go in and out of 4-wheel drive. He had to stop, back up shift and then go or some wild combination of moves like that.

My advice would be to check out the 4-wheel drive feature before buying.
