My gawt you have to do basic stuff like tackle ! I knew watching the L'ville game that our defense was hurting ... the entire D Line got knocked all at once like Bowling Pins ! (perfect strike). Its like NO technique ! Get Boulware in there and show em how its done, right now I think all he does is just hold the clipboard while the DC all he does is draw X and O's. The mantra on D was HIT SOMEBODY ! When I played D back in the day that was our coaches philsophy anyway.

I played through High School and was THE tackling dummy. Slow white guy who played behind this guy who got a full ride to a B10 school. He broke his leg 2nd year and was done. Football is a hard game. It hurts. Like all season something is hurting. I liked Tennis better but girls like Football players. There were only two genders back then.

OL diving at the knees to disrupt pass rush is ... something I think we did not plan for. It felt like we needed venebles to be back to coach against that #### as it seems very similar to how GT used to play us. Not sure about the rest of what you said, but watching Louisville do that was definitely frustrating.

Same as you, I was astonished that our DL was obviously unprepared to deal with cut blocks from Louisville’s OL.
IMO, this apparent lack of coaching was a damning indictment of Wes Goodwin.
Maybe Goodwin has learned enough about cut blocking since the Louisville game so that he’s having Nick Eason and Chris Rumph teaching the DL how to defeat cut blocks. Let’s hope so.

I recall Dabo saying that week pre-game that Lou used cut blocks. Somebody on the staff wasn’t listening I guess.

Our linebacker minus Sammy Brown hit the #### out of the first person they see unfortunately every play against Texas it as a 350 pound pulling lineman every single dayumn time. For God sakes know when to engage and when not too.

Yes, and he took the wrong leverage. That said, it was a guy weighing 75 more pounds coming at him. Dline failed there

Cuts are legal but OL better do it right. Remember GT was very good at it til a defense figured them out.
