He told me he along with Dabo and Bakich would’ve ruled college athletics. I specifically asked him about the fans. Wade said Clemson fans are phenomenal but he would’ve had JK, CM, and Allotwat banned from all team activities. TIFWIW.

If we wanted the job that bad, why did he use Clemson to get the LSU job in 2017 when DRad was going to let Coach Brownell go?

Expound on that please. Brad wasn't getting let go as it was after his first season in the renovated LJ and even the 'OMG enough already' bastion knew he'd have a 2nd year to 'turn the corner' after having helped bring it to fruition. And Lo and Behold, on the hottest of hot seats, he did. Sweeeeet 16.
BTW that's my only Sweet 16 team out of my bracket this year. Looking pretty solid otherwise.

Brad wasn’t going to get let go that year.
read this link. Trust me if you go far enough around 2017 you will read more stories about that. College Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman had stories in 2017. Here is an insert before link -

But you guys do realize that Coach Brownell has a sweet sixteen and an Elite 8 with in 8 years apart.
Hewett and Martin had one good year. I think I remember doing some research there were only less than 28 coaches who have done that in the last 8 years.
