I can. Brent can oversee Wes the way nobody at Clemson really could Brent can still be responsible for developing the linebackers while Wes just makes the play calls that Brent oversees… they are very familiar with each other so I think it will work perfectly.

defensive mind would translate to coaching. Reasonable risk but didn't work. Don't see BV making the repeat mistake.

With BV being on such a hot seat going into next season. It might be difficult to hire someone he feels comfortable with handling the defense. This could allow BV to take over even more control of the defense and let Wes do what he does best.

Don’t see it? Or don’t agree with it? There a difference. I see it 100%, Venables knows what he’s doing and what Wes brings to the table. Venables had Stallions at Clemson, Wes had show horses and Pony’s.Once recruiting improves at both places, everyone will see the difference, if not, this will keep repeating at both schools.

I see it too, but don't agree with it if it means Venables is going to be working the sideline on defense. That's a large time commitment during the game for a head coach. Unless Venables will have someone else on sideline doing all the things Wes is not good at... or maybe this is just a way to kill a year and then BV will come back to Clemson? He and Dabo seem to be collaborating rather closely on this whole defensive coordinator business...

Wes' secondary scheme is actually pretty smart.
I think if BV took over LB's and they have a solid Dline coach then OU's defense may be tough.
I think the reports of Wes being Brent's Special Sauce was because he helped BV's scheme in the secondary so much

Unless BV intends on holding down the HC position and Goodwin's training sessions at the same time, it won't work out well for BV...
