ENJOY THIS..... If you have been a all in believer in Clemson and a true fan through the bad times and the god awful Bowden era, this is something you have to enjoy... this team is a special one.

There is no way I can refer to the Bowden area as "Godawful!"

He inherited crap and convinced the trustees of the changes that had to be made! He did bring some good coaches and players in to say the least but if you insist on judging the Bowden era so harshly you would've slit your wrists during the Tommy West debacle.

Look at it this way. "If we are KO a lot then we are scoring". The long KO returns last nite led to no scores.

We have been good most of the year, but anytime a team returns a kickoff, it has potential to go for a big gain and some Mo. Best they can do if you kick it through the endzone is the 25. With our defense and offense, I'll take my chances giving them the 25!

I don't know why Huegel couldn't get it into the endzone yesterday. But...

They did adjust and made shorter directional kicks that limited the damage which I appreciate.
Truth was yesterday as long as OSU didn't get inside our 25 they weren't scoring. Their kicker has a MAJOR case of the yips. NCST kicker version 2.0.

Huegel has lost 5-7 yards in distance since the opening game

He was producing touchbacks routinely early in the season, now he kicks to the 5 yard line.
Still, we really only had one breakdown in coverage last night. Overall, we covered kickoffs pretty well.
Finding a guy who can kick it through the EZ every time would be a huge blessing for next year.

Wow did not know that. Don't think we had any big injuries last night either so that helps.

I thought this thread was going to be about out inability to cover on the deep ball. Bama has Ridley and the big tight end. The coverage is actually good, but we fail to play the ball in the sir????
