Hope not too many chefs in the kitchen?

Have to trust that Dabo has it under control!

Riley is considered the number 1 prospect for head coaching job. I am hoping he will get to Clemson and fall in love. I hope he will be with us a number of years, but I am expecting him to take the job he wants when the time comes. Dabo always is looking ahead. I am sure he has several coaches learning from Riley. I, personally, was thinking about our tight end coach, but both Morris and Scott could also be in that position. Riley has had control of the offense since he arrived; I do not think that will change, but I think a lot of coaches are looking at his paper and gleaning from his expertise.

comes along, but rather, wait and season himself under Dabo until a top notch job comes open that wants him. Just like Brent Venables leaving for Oklahoma, I really doubt if there were more than three or four jobs in the whole country that BV would have left us for. If Riley has the success that we hope he will at Clemson, he will be able to pick and choose when, and for what job he leaves. Dabo is stacking potential replacements around him already, planning for that scenario.

Now, that being said, I don't count The Chad in those plans. I firmly believe that he will hop the first quick freight back out of Tigertown that comes along, just as he previously did. He is just hoping Dabo can provide him with a "NIck Saban Coaching Rehab" effect.

:)

Here's a deal for coach Riley. Let's win a Natty which will look great on his resume. Then maybe he will want another one & want to stick around one more year? I'd be OK with that.

I think Morris and Scott being around the program are positives. Riley is firmly in control but now he has two more Clemson brains to pick.

And agreed on the 'Coaching Rehab'-that's a great sign for the program.

I actually think it's the other way around. I think Scott and Morris will be picking Riley's brain. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that is Dabo's plan so when Riley leaves perhaps insert one of the two as OC to carry on with Riley's offense

It will be interesting if we play TCU in a bowl or the
playoffs with Chads son the QB at TCU and Garrett the
former OC.

I'm absolutely sure that Dabo has a handle on it, he didn't get as far as he's gone by not knowing what's going on, and what to look for that maybe causing a problem, or could cause a problem in the future, and I'm not concerned about all of that.

My concern is after all this time that Chad has been away without ever once coming back and seeing everything that Dabo has done to make Clemson even greater than it was when he was at Clemson. And I'm thinking that it's only to try and use Dabo to get his foot back in a door somewhere, and I just hope that it isn't at Clemson for long term.

For those that will be quick to reject my concerns, hopefully you have given some thought to why Chad is back now without ever giving Dabo the respect of at least peaking in just once to see all that Dabo has accomplished, without him giving Dabo an in person pat on the back or an atta Boy to a person that if he hadn't worked under, he wouldn't have gotten the chances that he has failed with. Personally, I believe that he failed bc he didn't stay long enough to learn from Dabo the right way things should be done to be a successful college HC. Chad didn't won't to stay for the knowledge that he could have picked up from Dabo if he would have given himself the time, but he felt he already had all the knowledge he needed to be successful at the college level.

After two failed head coaching jobs, and one OC job since leaving Clemson, I would hope that he leaned his HS coaching knowledge, and the knowledge needed to be a successful HC at the college level is actually Day and Night difference. I guess he figure that bc Dabo's only head coaching job was at Clemson, and that he probably had more experience as a HC than Dabo, but his biggest misconception was that Dabo had been around college coaching a long time working under some of the best college coaches ever in college FB, and that Dabo's knowledge of college football is leaps and bounds above anything that Chad has ever learned as a HS head coach.

If he's back at Clemson for anything, I hope that it's for gaining the knowledge from Dabo that he intentionally overlooked when he was at Clemson before. If it's college FB knowledge that he's after this time around, I hope that he now understands that Dabo Swinney is a very intelligent man that has a ton of knowledge about how to be a successful HC at the college level, and most importantly, Dabo got it from working for successful college head coaches, and the Chad would be wise to follow in his footsteps....

Better than no one in the kitchen (or house) on the offensive side. We’ve been there and it wasn’t fun. Dabo’s got it .. Go Tigers !!!!
