Do you believe we could be better in basketball in the ACC?

What is the best we could expect on average out of the program?
Would we have more money to pay a coach in the SEC?
Why do we settle for not being at the bottom?
Could we recruit the best players in SC?

going to be extremely cautious not to allow anything to impinge upon our football success.
They may allow our AD Neff to dabble with our women's basketball program, even our baseball program, but I believe they see relative safety with Coach Brownell, who has run a clean program, relatively free from controversy along with a winning record. We may not perform well in post-seasonal play, and a number of fans might rattle the cages occasionally, but there has been no major uprising over our level of play, and that is consistent with our history.
My eyes were opened with the last LJ renovation: we opted to renovate rather than build a new facility; most importantly we reduced seating capacity, the latter of which spoke volumes about our expectations. Think about it: who does that when you're all out to build?
I just do not believe that there is powerful enough thinking that we can be both a football and basketball power, and until that changes, more than likely, we aren't going to see anything overtly dramatic from our BOT, down through our admin and AD office.

I think most fans would agree. Nothing should impinge upon football’s success, which the cash cow for Clemson. Basketball makes a little bit of money. Now, if CBB ran his program differently from what you touched on, the BOT/Neff would make a change.

The only way we could be better is to hire a top notch coach. We'll never be any better with what we've got.

We could definitely be better. We have in the past. We need to take our blinders off. Brownell eclipsed the Clemson MBB all-time lose record before eclipsing the all-time win record; but we ignore that. We also ignore that his winning percentage is 4th amongst the last 5 Clemson MBB coaches. Essentially by accepting his mediocrity, which is below historical standard, we aren't trying to be better.
