Apparently Saint Nick, or Nick Satan, depending on your perspective alluded to wanting Quinyon Mitchell, a defensive back from Toledo out of the transfer portal during his coaching career at Alabama. Big problem, Mitchell never entered the transfer portal. That would have been a clear case of tampering. Here's a different spin. CBS paid lil' Nikki to do some commentary during the draft. Here's the thing. Nick might be entertaining, even occasionally funny in Tictoc size clips. Getting entertainment out of coach Nick during a marathon like the NFL draft, probably required some "creative writing" from the suits at CBS.
In the midst of the longest running Christian music video string in Tnet history, comes news of a swingers convention. Let's think of all the ways that word could be interpreted. Golf swingers, nope. Swing dancers, nope? This is moms and dads, boyfriends and girlfriends getting together at an event like a baseball card swap meet for the purposes of engaging in seggs. There, it's out there now. How do we know moms and dads? Apparently there is even a babysitting side hustle going on.
Running commentary on the prospects of Clemson's success in both the SEC and the B1G. SEC proponents point out cool possibilities like an annual LSU vs. Clemson matchup for the real Death Valley and real Tiger Rag trophy. Opponents point out we would possibly play two games in Columbia in the same year. (Columbia SC and Missouri for those unaware.) B1G proponents point to the possibility of adding hockey as a sport. Fighting tigers on ice does have a cool rink to it. See what I did there? Opponents point out if Hockey is possible so is snow at football road games and even.... baseball?
The deuce, Sammy Watkins, wants to return to CU as a coach when his NFL days are over. Wait, we don't like so many former players as coaches in the valley. Wait, don't we already have a former Tiger as WR coach? Wait, don't we want to get rid of him?
A'plenty of concern about the downturn at the Beacon Drive-In, a Spartanburg, no a SC institution.
dsgriff has moved "back home" to Pickens county prompting an outpouring of congratulations, and latent jealousy, from Tnetters everywhere.

way I have ever known it is as simply the Beacon) is called a drive in, was it ever a drive in where food was brought to your car?

It always has been and always will be a drive in. Part of the parking lot is for in car ordering. A curb hop delivers the food to your car. Some eat in car and get waiter service while in their car. The Beacon isn’t quite the same since John White Sr sold it.
We all heard part of the deal was that food prep and quality would remain the same. In my opinion, it has slowly gone downhill since John sold it. I used to eat there about once a month when I lived in the area. I only get back there once a year most years. Usually on the way to Death Valley the day before a game.
