I mean they did have a comeback in the 9th but failed because of a crazy/dumb rule. I honestly thought the blues K zone was fair both ways tonight. Glad the Tigers get the W and can go for 7 straight ACC series wins in a row. If we somehow get 7 series wins in a row and do decent in the ACC tourny and a few other top teams play poor we can be close too not only a regional host but possible that top 8 to host a super if we make it that far. Its looking good!!

It’s not a “crazy/dumb” rule. It exists at every level of baseball. When a force is in play at any base but first you have to slide or veer from the base path. If you don’t, it’s two outs. You almost never see it at the MLB level because no one dumb enough to do it makes to Major League Baseball.

He had to go. He was bad both ways but he called an outside curve ball from Clayton then on the next pitch called one low as heck 😂 it was 1-2 and should’ve been 3-0. Tbh v tech had to go. I would’ve been tossed as well

Every body has an opinion so here goes mine. The vt goobers coach is a desssspickable human being. His behavior was a classic demonstration of thuggery in the first degree.

Remember vt you promote what you permit. I hope the vt AD was waiting on him in the locker room and after his diaper change, suspended him for the rest of the season without pay.

He didn’t have to go on a cussing tirade. Have you ever coached sports? And if you did, did you let umpires or officials get away with anything?

There is a big difference between not yelling at umpires at your kids youth baseball game or even their high school game, but Virginia Tech is on the bubble fighting for a spot in the NCAA tournament right now and they had a great opportunity against a rolling Clemson team. He didn’t have to drop 50 f bombs but he 1000% had to stick up for his team in that moment. No question about it. If any athletic Director were to suspend a coach for that for the rest of the season, the president should fire the athletic Director on the spot.

You are missing the point. His display was totally immature and child like. There are right ways and wrong ways to be thrown out of a game. He could have called time out, casually walked out to the od circle and asked for the ump to come see him. He could have then told the ump nose to nose what he thought of the calls, made a move to walk away turned around and headed back to the ump and proceeded to do it again, he would have been thrown out of the game. Point made to team, no he made a fool of himself and vt.
