She definitely has Chihuahua in her. She has to be mixed with a Jack Russell or a Dachshund.
She has definitely made my stress levels go down. Rescue a dog if you can!

I'm kinda jealous, I think I need a dog now. I want one that's half watch dog and half snuggle bunny. Good with toddlers and keeps strangers at bay. Protects chickens and kills copperheads, but never snaps or bites anyone unless they are up to no good. Also doesn't eat his entire bag of dog food if we have to be gone overnight. Will have love my feral kitty. Need advice on what mixed breed this would be.

At one time we had 4 rescued dachshunds in addition to 2 half brothers we got as puppies. The rescues always seemed more appreciative to receive attention compared to the puppies who expected it. Sadly, we lost 2 of them to old age a couple years ago and 2 more this year. The 2 we have left are aged 14 and healthy and the other is 10 years old and totally blind( but he doesn't show it because he gets anywhere he wants to go easily).

Get a Boykin. Mine never leaves my side, fetches a dove or quail, and loves kids to throw the dummy. I have had black labs, jack russells which were amazing smart, and my boykin that knows every thing i want it to do before i ask. My boykin watches every move I make and when I cant see her she is lying in cover and 100% knows where I am. Will play fetch all day or sleep on couch all day if its that type of day. Everyone know their doggy partner when they meet.

I love the idea of folks rescuing dogs bc, I truly believe that dogs needing to be rescued got a very bad deal from the previous owner, and those types of people never deserve to have another dog, cat, or any animal that we have as family member pets!!!
With that said, I lost my Rottweiler on August 6, that actually lived to be 15 years old, and that's him in my profile pic, and he was about 8 to 10 months old in that pic. Anyway, I'm always happy when I hear that someone has rescued a dog, even though I have never had a rescue dog.
I'm the kind of dog owner that has get a puppy around 10 to 12 weeks old, and they have to be full blooded, and that is bc from my experience as a life time dog owner, Full Blooded dogs are easier to train, but then again, that maybe bc I've mostly owned Dobermans, Rottweilers, and a German Shepherd, and all 3 of those breeds are naturally really smart dogs that are easily trained. But I will add that the 3 Rottweilers I've had, they were the easiest and smartest dogs that I've had, with my boy that passed away August 6, he was by far the smartest dog I've ever had in my life time!!!!
I personally thank you for rescuing your new dog, and all of them are easy to love. In just a few weeks, the best way to tell who loves you the most in your family, is to put them in the trunk of your car with your dog, ride them around for a couple of hours, and when you open the trunk to let them out, stand back and see who comes to you showing how much they love you, I'm betting that it will be your dog, and the rest of them will be pisssed at you for days, even weeks!!!

I lost my dog Willow about 5 years ago. It took four years before I really started looking for a dog again. But, that was last fall and the rescue dogs were going fast! More dogs are being returned now and the rescue I worked with here has many young dogs any puppies up for adoption.

Here’s our Dwarf Bull Gustus playing with the goats, he has no idea of his size....lol he’s so sweet especially to be a bull, he can toss a round bale of hay 600-800 lbs with his neck like it’s a play toy..lol but is gentle enough to live & play with the goats.

Rescuing a dog is a 2 way blessing. We have rescued 2 Chi-weenies. Although Reynold has left us, we still have Otis at age 13. He has slowed down, but his sole mission in life is to love us.
