I first have to say that I fully believe this is a natty caliber team. Talent wise.
And I love seeing what experts are saying about our football team before the season starts. Especially if it’s extremely positive.
But you’re not convincing me quite yet that Clemson will come out flawless and go 12-0 or even that there’s a “high” chance we go 11-1.
These people don’t have a crystal ball.
Don’t we think we could calm down with all the articles about our top ranked preseason players and team?
Feeding our own team rat poison, no?
That goes for any Clemson sport too
It’s best to be about the work.
And I’m kind of sick of all this hype and stuff in every sport and we don’t match it. Especially preseason hype.
Like baseball too.

All those players are trying to do well in the NFL draft. They want to leave Clemson as great. Those guys are busting their butts and wont slack due to a Tnet article.

Look, it's been know for a few years that the 2025 version of Clemson was going to be highly ranked as players like CK2, TJ , PWoo, and Avion were going to be junior and seniors , this was the year. I've even been talking about how much of a dropoff next year would be knowing this year was so good...
Your either going to have a good team, possibly championship 🏆 caliber , a mediocre team , or trying to rebuild type team. What happened to Best is Standard, you can't go and hide when your team has potential to be the best. Honestly I'm all for talking about Clemson winning the championship, I miss the 2015 - 2020 years.. We have a really good team this year , Great Head coach, Great assistant coaches , Great fan base , good schedule with great tailgating... Let's do it. Win the natty baby . 2025 National Championship 🏆

Lsu is going to humble us out of the gate. This team is all hype for no reason. Offense has never done anything at all. We have no good LB outside of a young Sammy brown who will miss gaps still….. our safeties are prob some of the worst in power 4….. other than that

Or LSU defense can be trash again this year and we will humble them. I like this story much better as a Clemson fan. Sure LSU could be good with their portal editions. They could also go the FSU route. Who knows? 🤷🏼♂️

Well , it's here. This is what we've been waiting on.
A lot of it is an anxiousness to prove all of our skeptics wrong ( again ) especially PF.
If we can spank LSU the pundits who got it right will run to get in front of the camera and spend an inordinately longer amount of time discussing Clemson. That's a win for us.
After our hiatus we deserve to be happy and excited about our football team.
Others may not feel that way and that's ok too.
But why try to ruin that for others ?
I really don't get it.
We already agree these early proclamations of national championship aspirations can bite you in the ####. We get that. That roller coaster ride of emotion is part of being a fan. Embrace it. It's rare.

legit shot at a trophy. Does he get the level he's looking for out of the gate against LSU? They're not really get all the talk like we are. Which puts them in the driver seat for game one. Back in the DW4 days we would be able to come out and smack them early and often, break their will, and wear them out late with our defensive line. Venables was a great game planner on defense. Only a handful of times I can recall where we were just outmatched with no answers. Maybe three or four times in his tenure. And he would tell you after the game that we got our butts beat.. and I think he took it personally and would correct it. Last year week to week it was a "who knows if we learned anything" type of defensive effort. Hopefully Tom Allen gets us back on track to suffocating teams for 4 quarters.
