Been. Had NIU toward the top in all statistical categories. Heck they beat a playoff team this year.
Looks like a fit for Dabo to me. Would be very similar to the direction he went hiring Riley for offense.

Joe Tressel is another good prospect. DC at Wisconsin and Inside LB coach. I also like Mike Rossi out of MI State. Parker out of Iowa would be good but he is a long time coach there and a number of programs have made runs at him.

I have no idea whether or not Dabo is even considering any changes to the staff, much less at DC. If he is then I have no idea who he has on his list (the one that all coaches have in their desk "just in case.")
But, here are my two thoughts concerning Nick.
1. He is very short on experience. His resume would say he is not ready to make the jump from DC at NIU to DC at Clemson.
2. He would be more like Dabo picking Chad Morris or Jeff Scott than it would be like picking Brent Venables or Matt Luke.

I thought about the comparison with Chad Morris as well in terms of lack of big name school experience. That worked out pretty well though in my opinion...

Why are people trying guess who our guy will be? We have no idea what is going on, if there is anything going on at all, and if so, we would have no idea who the potential options would be.

Not really at all genius. The point of the message board is to talk about things that we may know about or have some insight. We can debate who wins games and who starts etc. It's actually kind of idiotic to try and predict who we might hire outside of our program if Wes is canned. You might as well be commenting on the day of week you will die, the cause, the minute, your age, where you will be, who you will be with, etc. We have no idea who our next DC would be and we have no idea who the options would be.
