DC and Tony Elliott back as OC. We are simply being outcoached most of our games. Dabo is no on field coach. He has to have people that know what they are doing and can attract better recruits.

I can see Venables coming back since he spent a lot of time here and still owns a home. Tony improved Virginia this year after dealing with a horrible deal last year where he lost a few players to a shooting.
If Tony continues improving he will get picked up by a bigger program.
I’m not sure Venables will want to be a HC again if he gets let go from OU.

Venables is not leaving Okla. unless they run him off, and then he will either go be a head coach somewhere else, or be a DC at another program. I don't ever see him coming back to Clemson.
T. Elliot is a good OC, but not great. Most of his production at Clemson came as a result of the talent he had on the field. I don't think he would be interested in coming back to be an assistant either, but I could see him going to a lower tier school to be a head coach, if there was an opportunity.
If either of them do come back to Clemson it will be like Chad Morris did as an analyst while they collect a check from Va. and Okla. but not as a full blown coordinator. It just isn't going to happen.

Maybe, maybe not. Venables was making close to $2 mil a year as our DC. Matt Luke was the HC of Ole Miss at one time and he went to Georgia as an OL coach before coming here.

BV’s victory over Alabama bought him at least another year and probably two.
If he can get a good offense going out there, he will be around for the long haul as HC.

Again… Venables nor Scott nor Elliott will be returning to Clemson for coaching positions. This is all on Dabo to bring in new blood and right the ship.
Y’all need to let it go.

We will never get both of them back, you need to get your head out of the past. However maybe... MAYBE, we see a Venables return. Oklahoma has said that he will get one more year. If next year doesn't get better, I think he gets fired. I am confident that he will have a spot in Clemson as long as Dabo is here. So, if he is fired, and wants to come be a DC again he will.
