So Alabama gets credit for a “miracle win” against a very bad Auburn team. They “nailed the coffin”.
But FSU gets no credit for winning without Travis, winning every game all season, winning the conf championship by 2 scores, etc etc etc.
FSU had more offense in the ACCCG than Michigan did in the BIGCG.
Your posts are as contradictory as the CFP committee explanations.
By the way, that note about the defensive touchdown is irrelevant and inaccurate.

I don’t need to. I know the play.
It is irrelevant because: it had no bearing on the result of the game and doesn’t at all diminish the fact that a miracle 4th and 31 was needed to save Alabama against a bad team.
It is inaccurate because: you don’t understand the clock. It doesn’t matter if the clock runs out during the middle of a play. The play continues.
The reason it wasn’t ruled a score is because the official said he stepped out around the 4 yard line.

Your posts and reasonings are blatantly contradictory. Everything you say about FSU can be said about other contenders.
Wins have to matter. Losses have to matter. That is the core of sports.
It is absolutely disastrous for the sport for a team in P5 to go undefeated but left out of the dance. If this wasn’t already going to 12 teams next year, this would be grounds for blowing up the whole system.

FSU is not good
UGA is about to put them up and the ACC will get embarrassed that their CHAMP couldn't even win the Orange Bowl for a second straight season vs a 2nd string SEC team

the uproar is about is that the ACC as a whole was just downgraded into a Group of 5 conference by the Committee. And, the fact that it was done to put a one loss SEC Champion in just made it that much worse. Now, the precedent has been set, and next time around, it COULD be Clemson taking the hit.

the playoff goes to 12 teams next year. No undefeated Clemson team will ever be left out of the playoff and a chance to be the champ. I honestly don’t understand the uproar from our fans. Georgia is going to hammer them and prove the committee right. People used to fuss about us getting in the playoff and we knew the committee got it right then. They have it right this time too. We need to be honest about this FSU team. They are not a great team. Not only that but I have no sympathy for a coach who cancelled a game on us just so we wouldn’t drag his team up and down the field. It wouldn’t surprise me if he pulls a similar stunt against Georgia in protest.

If we are in the same boat and ranked fifth from here on out we are in the playoff. The fear of being an undefeated conference champ and being left out moving forward is just plain unwarranted. I do not believe they are trying to discredit the ACC. FSU is just not a top 4 team without Jordan Travis and I would dare say they were not a top 4 team with him even though I would have certainly gave them the nod and no doubt that the committee would have as well. If the committee’s goal was to diminish the ACC we would’ve never gotten in the playoff 6 times. All of the weeping and gnashing of teeth from SEC fans didn’t change their minds either.

Maybe the committee made that choice because they knew it wouldn’t impact future CFP since this is the last year of the top four. But that is not reason to justify or give them a hall pass for such a terrible decision.

I can’t get behind that. Your initial info says FSU starts and ends with Travis. Called him a 3* at the end. His adjusted rating is 5*. It is asinine to claim anything other about Travis.
The ACC has dominated the mighty SEC the last couple years. Sure, it’s been close but we’ve kept the edge in head to head matchups. The ACC holds a 6-4 advantage going into bowl season and could widen the margin.
The SEC narrative is bogus and perpetuated by espn. Why? Because this fledgling sports media company out of Connecticut couldn’t get any conferences to sell them media rights. The SEC basically gave them rights and helped build espn into a media giant. So, espn scratches hair backs constantly. The assassination of FSU was masterful and began the second the sec championship game was decided. Tessitore begun seeding doubt every other sentence in the FSU vs Louisville game.
The ACC is second in playoff appearances since the advent of the CFP. The ACC is second in championships since the advent of the CFP.

The issue is that the narrative for the CFP has always been "win and you're in" (handed to us by the narrative spinners no less). Then, the one time that a conference that said narrative spinners have invested heavily in wasn't going to make it in...then magically the narrative changed.
Maybe we're all a little mad with ourselves that we believed there was such a thing as blind justice and integrity in the CFP.
