Clearly the CFP committee is waiting to see where they put us in the final ranking and then hold an emergency meeting to expand the playoffs to that exact ranking.

It would make far more cents if the Playoffs started din September after a couple of tune-ups games against lower tier opnants. We could get rid of the Conferences alltogtehr and let a computer determine the scedule, 2 losses and your are out, like regionals in baseball. Teh tams that make it to th end play a super regional, bst of 3. This way if we have a bad year, we can quit playing after the first two losses and leave room for the real teams to fight for the trophy.

Without something much better to replace it. That would require dissolving at least the P4 conference's and the 4 GOR contracts, and getting guaranteed revenue out of the new deal.

ESECPN realized that that MIGHT possibly mean they would have to go to Columbia an extra time once every 75 years……road crews threatened to quit and the execs agreed that it was too much to ask.
