I was thinking the same thing. He knew his actions were going to lead to his downfall. What a jacknut. He could never control his temper and it got the best of him vs. our Tigers.

We saw it live and always felt that. By the end of the game it had sunk in and he knew he was done.

I still think it is odd that the announcers did not see Woody's punch, even in the replay. They just kept saying that they did not know what started the fight. Hayes snapped!

They knew. I was watching and it wasn’t hard to see. The minute I saw it I told my wife that Hayes hit our player.

An older Buckeye fan I used to work with said Hayes had a known problem with his temper and a drinking problem. He said the athletic administration was fed up with his conduct and the punch he threw in the Gator Bowl was the last straw.
