College football world by being picked as the best team in cfb in this off season. I'd much rather us be the underdog than to read how great our team is before the first game. I think Rat Poison and Shades of Cooterville where they are annually declared the champion every August.

And if we lose a game the whole world gets free shots at your team including some so called "Clemson" fans who are here on Tigernet who love to down our coaches, players, and fans who are positive for every misstep. Lord help us this year because I do believe this team is built to compete and has the opportunity to win all the games on it's schedule but their are no guarantees and who knows in the post season. Very excited to kick it off and as always hoping for a great season but just feeling like this is some kind of set up on us. JMO. Go Tigers!!!

We have all the pieces in place to have a great year, no excuses. So many of us want to be treated like a big time blue chip program but then we get scared or nervous when the stakes are too high. Get over it.

the nice thing is since Dabo has been HC the players havent been scared. Under CTB anytime they got good they would lay an egg to someone they shouldnt.

There is going to be at least 5 dark-horse teams or teams that come out of nowhere that is going to be tough to deal with on an unexpected level. Last year's Louisville team immediately comes to mind.

I don’t like it one bit either I wish we were considered just the best team in ACC and nothing else to it and a top 10 team now we are set up to where if we lose one like you said it’s gonna be “oh Clemson overrated this overrated that”

Ah, reverse psychology. But still for giggles define what you mean. Obviously, if Tigers go 7-5 or something like that you are right. But if they go 12-0, including wins over LSU, all ACC teams, and the bi-annual William Brice beatdown of the Coots then Clemson's probably a top 5 or 10 team.

They told Bama they were the best team ever like every year. Didnt bother them.
