I have been quite absent over the last few years on this site but you’ll see by my profile and stats I had a somewhat meaningful time here……what in the ever loving hay all has happened to our basketball team! We went from seemingly the best in the world against elite non conference foes to we can’t beat our own shadows in a dark alley!!! This is absolutely absurd! I won’t say outright we need a different coach but I will ask what in the ever loving #### happened! We can’t shoot, we can’t rebound, we can’t make a game ending decision like, hey drive to the basket get fouled and we probably get overtime if we don’t win outright. This is down right upsetting!! Go ahead and call me a coot or a troll but I graduated this school in May 2000 with an engineering degree. I’ll hang up and listen!

What’s new? This has been going on for 14 seasons. The vast majority of Clemson supporters have tuned Brownell out for many years. There is only a few newbies that think each year is going to be better.

Sir, your frustration is widespread. Many come on here and will defend anything Clemson. When you speak against them you are a coot. That's just what they do. They are blinded and believe that if they speak out against Clemson or any Clemson coach then tbey ate not a real fan. Newsflash, Clemson is a high academic institution and continuing to pay millions for this type of basketball leadership makes them look lime fools!! So you are justified to feel this way and Clemson basketball deserves better than Brad tbe clown Brownell!!

We seem like a totally different team.
Despite that, we would easily be 7-3 right now in the ACC if not for:
-the horrible call at the end of the Duke game
-just one more made free throw against Georgia Tech
-even one of our many missed layups today going in
But those things didn’t happen. I’ve decided that we are where we are right now for two big reasons:
-PJ Hall isn’t the player we thought he was
-Joe Girard isn’t the player we thought he was
That’s a big problem since they are our two best/most important offensive players.
PJ has gone cold from the perimeter, he misses too many shots inside, and he seems to let his emotions get the best of him sometimes.
Girard doesn’t create his shot well and forces things sometimes. That isn’t good since he is also a defensive liability.
Super frustrating season. I can’t fault the effort. We are getting good shots. We generally play good defense. We just aren’t winning enough.
We have to turn this around. No rest for the weary, we are at UNC next.

Good ole Judge bringing the heat….good answers but the question remains where does this all point? Is the ACC out to get us with refs, are our guys not playing well, are they not coached well enough. Thanks for the answer I’ll be on pins and needles awaiting how it’s not a coaching issue

You blame girard and Hall. ### are you talking about. You have no basketball IQ to give that answer.
Brad lets Hall hangout around half court to launch a 3. By the way Hall is around 20% for the year shooting 3’s against the ACC.
Brad needs to be able to design plays to get girard open.
Brad let the game today get away in the last 7 seconds due to inept coaching.
He let GT get away and he flat out lost the duke game when he refused to commit a 2 shot foul.

PJ Hall will not be in the NBA. I sure hope he is but nothing I have seen from him indicates he is good enough. I hope I am wrong.

Unfortunately, Hall and Girard are the lone scoring options. Chase can’t make an outside shot, Sheff and Wiggins aren’t scorers. Don’t say PJ and Girard aren’t the players you expected. They are good players.
The blame is solely on the coach for not having anyone else on the team that can pick up the scoring slack when your 2 best players have off nights.

The ACC has figured out that you only have to guard Hall and Girard to win. Brownell is incapable of making his own adjustments.
