Lots of people on here I’ve never seen before posting garbage along with some long term members that are surprisingly posting similar garbage. Kind of lost respect for some of them that are acting like petulant spoiled children.
It’s not a good year, but try to keep your behavior in check. If you’re that upset and can’t control yourself regarding the football team at least do it to respect the memory of the Clemson Corp of Cadets. Those Clemson men needed no introduction. Act like you’ve got some good sense.

My answer is NO, it's no bc nothing will be OK until Dabo brings in a Top-notch coaching staff, or at least a staff comparable to the staff that was at Clemson when Elliott and Venables were on staff...

Thank you for an honest response. My post was targeted at PBT who continues to remind us…for months…how much Dabo makes. I get it, we all get it. But how about give it a rest already? How about some thoughtful commentary on the post at hand instead of continuing to drive the semi over the long dead horse…over…and over…and over. Maybe a random attack on the woohoo every now and then just to mix it up some…

Well stated dsgriff. There are way too many trolls and naysayers now. We do get some real good negative points made, and you can't help but recognize some of the faults. But there is no reason to dwell on it. If it continues, I am sure the powers that be will take action.

Fans that are hurt by what they see happening with what was once the talk of college football for the right reason are now being the talk of college FB for all the wrong reasons... The FB program that Dabo had built at Clemson, is now coming apart from the seams that held it together. It was top coaching back then, but now it's coaching and the lack of use of the portal in 2023, 2024, and 2025 that tearing it down...

You are right argonaut1992®, I attended my 1st Clemson game in 1959....many moons ago. While I have never seen higher highs than the Tigers have produced in the last 10yrs, I have seen lower lows than this year. I have not, nor ever will, bash my Tigers as it is not good for the players or future recruits. Hale, even deadsolidperfect® is civil with his comments and he is the undisputed king of the Ban-Hammer. Some of you FANS make me want to PUKE

Well puke and get it out of your system and start talking about what it will take to get out Tigers headed back in the direction that it was headed down 10 years ago. Bc not talking about won't change a thing, it was all the negative talk that got Terry Don Phillips to hire the man that he saw something special in when he chose Dabo Swinney to lead our Tiger team to great success...
I was all for Dabo as our HC back then, and I still believe he can turn thing around again and playing the championship at the top of the mountain, and hopefully our fans haven't forgot that is the most important championship to win, winning that one has people jumping on the band wagon and the rest of the country talking crap about us bc we were the top FB team in the country that was also shared with only one other team from year to year in Bama. Nick Saban is gone but we still have Dabo that I believe can guide our FB program back to the top bc I believe that Dabo can change to what it takes to work portal players in with the prime high school talent.
I think that Dabo could be one of the best at working HS talent and portal talent into becoming a NC team if he changes his feeling about the portal. If he refuses to do that, our Tigers will need another coach like Dabo, but one willing to use both talent fields, HS kids and portal kids together playing for National Championships!!!!

Fans haven’t changed much.
It would have been worse if this site would have been up and kicking around 95-96 when West led Clemson to being outscored 94-0 in back to back losses to Syracuse and UNC.
Adding to the frustration is the enormous amount of money being spent, basically every decision being in relation to game days puts the fans last in consideration, and finally the fact i feel as though many believe we it didn’t have to be this way. If you had clear eyes, there were signs popping up all over that there were cracks in the program. The Goodwin hire kind of just increased the crack and made it develop into a near collapse. That decision alone I’ll never understand when 99% of eligible def. coordinators across the country would have accepted the job.
I get the frustration of folks not wanting to accept Clemson as going back to mid to bottom tier ACC program. It’s honestly hard to believe. And I’d rather be a fan of a school that cares enough to complain when we stink. Promise you UNC fans have already accepted and looking forward to basketball. Kentucky fans the same. Doubt there’s much ruckus at Oregon St.
Auburn fans are frustrated, Florida fans are frustrated, LSU fans are frustrated. And Clemson , fandom wise, ain’t much different from those schools rather you want to believe it or not .
Let 69k show up last 2 home games and see what a fan base that isn’t involved looks like

The West years began after us Clemson fans had witnessed the transition of Clemson FB from our 1988 and 1989 (the end of The Danny’s regime) elite status to the rapid decline (losing season in 1992, then the ~ 63-0 defeat by FSU and a string of nail-biter wins against our numerous weak opponents in 1993 season) during Ken Hatfield’s regime, then the arrival of Tommy West, whose unsuccessful attempt to return Clemson FB to the Ford era glory days became evident after the 2025-esque letdown season in 1997 (when our roster’s combination of plentiful players who were both good -&- experienced made everyone realize that the West Experiment had failed). 1998 season’s dismal record put the exclamation point on the collapse of Clemson FB.
Clemson fans from back in the time when TigerNet was born knew what a great to bad transition looked like. To twist a Hemingway phrase, Clemson fans from back then watched Clemson FB fail gradually, then suddenly.
This time, there are no coaching transitions involved. Instead, there are rapid transitions in the CFB game / CFB industry. The horse and buggy industry was a mainstay of upscale civilian transportation for centuries. Then, the automobile arrived. Within a relatively short period of time (maybe two decades instead of several centuries), there was little use for the horse and buggy.
Clemson FB program has not made the adjustments quickly enough to stay abreast of the new CFB ‘industry.’ There is less time than most of us think before Ckemson FB becomes Ken Hatfield v.2.

Excellent post of recent Clemson football history. I don’t think Hatfield or west made $11.5m a year with assistant coaches making six and seven figures. Dabo may not adjust or can’t due to financial contraints and his reluctance to chance the status quo. He gets $60m win or lose.

They were always wrong. Finally the broken clock was right. It’s awful now compared to the NFL. Everyone is constantly an unrestricted free agent. Every season is a constant state of chaos and impulsive extremes. I don’t watch any games for the first time since the 80’s. Even in 1998 when we went 3-8 I loved the games and could never imagine not caring. It’s an ugly game now. They finally killed it and converted it into an expensive knockoff of the NFL, but far more corrupt.

It almost seems a predictable cycle. I was a member of a board back when Bowden first started. There were a few jerks on there but generally pretty civil. After a few years it freaky began ti fall apart. Then I found this one. It looked like all the good of the prior board and more. This place is now looking like the old board.
I still check in but the behavior here has become an ever growing incentive to check out.
