a handful of powerful and corrupt men.
The idea of entrusting a few powerful individuals with such significant decisions invites the risk of corruption and personal bias. If the selection process is to truly embody democratic principles, it should leverage the resources of the largest corporations, granting them the freedom to invest unlimited sums of money in lobbying networks like ESPN, ABC, and Nike. These corporations, by virtue of their substantial financial resources, are likely to be the most informed about who deserves inclusion. After all, we already "vote" for these corporations with our wallets.
To achieve a genuine free-market approach to determining the nation’s best teams, the NCAA should emulate the structure of our political system—one where the wealthiest entities, assumed to be the most knowledgeable, wield influence over critical decisions that impact us all. Any alternative would seem insufficient, and quite honestly, a lot like communism.

I would much rather see Clemson hire a PR firm that throws a wad of cash At Senator Graham, and he can take donations on our behalf by CFB megadonors to get Clemson into the playoffs though successful lobbying efforts on the major network (s), and hopefully a first round Bye next time.

Seems like too many middlemen. Let’s just bribe the committee.

Some Clemson fan who has the inside track with The Mouse might help our cause. You know, blackmail the vulnerable executives, bribe the corruptible ones, etc etc.
If we could just find that Clemson man with a connection. Thinking … thinking …

Why don’t we just have a college football playoff election day and have all sports fans vote?
