Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Also, put Notre Dame on that list.

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

Oops - I missed Akron D at #18

Dec 28, 2015, 10:45 AM

And the Sooners scored 41.
Might as well pack up and head back to the upstate. Sorry guys. I don't know if the # 7 Clemson D can hang, or if DW4 will ever be ready for one of those Big 12 defenses.

Deer OU D, Cole says hello.

Well, considering big 12 offenses run more plays and throw the ball more, OU will likely have defended more plays, skewing the overall yardage per game stat.

So adjusted for yards per play defended

Boston College 4.07
Oklahoma 4.68
Clemson 4.68
Florida St 4.70
Louisville 4.79
NC state 5.31
Notre Dame 5.54

Considering the kind of offenses OU has faced compared to the other teams, that's a rather impressive feat if you ask me.

Adjusted for points given up per play defended

fsu .226 837 plays
bc .244 750 plays
Oklahoma .277 899 plays
clemson .320 821 plays
ND .343 785 plays
Louisville .360 811 plays
NC state .380 751 plays

OU has a pretty salty defense when you get right down to it.

You coots are pretty good at make-believe math

Dec 29, 2015, 1:03 AM

I didn't know the coots played in the Big 12 championship game. The Sooners didn't play in it either. You were at home midnight toking crack and hallucinating about getting back your quitter coach.

Sounds like you took all the lsd.

As far as the big 12 championship game goes, OU won it by over 30 points.
