The Horns almost beat Georgia. We got blown out in the second half against the Dawgs. Texas is bigger, stronger, faster. Hope the Tigers can pull off the upset, but I doubt it.

Notre Dame is a joke, they should be left out for their conference stance alone. They have a chance to advance because for some reason Indiana who beat absolutely nobody is also inexplicably in. UGA by far has the easiest path on the lower half of the bracket dodging basically all the good teams save maybe Penn State

Our fans talk about generational quarterbacks, no one ever mentions that our defenses were absolutely loaded at all positions with quality depth everywhere. We have 3 linebackers total who play, let that sink in!

Don't post anything positive about the Clemson QBs that's frowned upon here.
You can be passive aggressive though like Cades shown growth he only misses 10 Tds a game now instead of 20.
Really am tired of how this fan base hates on players that are playing good ball. That's when I have to remind myself most people are comparing this to video games.
Dude has turned it over I think 5 times all year and scored what 40 tds?

I did not either as we were told we could not stay on the field with them by all the democrats and sports media. I’m glad I went to the game anyway as it turned out to be one of the best I have ever seen our tigers play.

I think Clemson’s D-line matches up well with Texas O-line. Also, Ewers is not a dual threat QB. That’s a huge factor. If the D-line can get to him Clemson is in good shape.
Riley has to utilize Wesco, Moore, Williams & Briningstool properly. That’s a deadly receiving corps. Better than UGA’s.

I agree! They will have to play 4 quarters on offense to win, and the D will need to mix it up a little more…. As you said, playing with house money so reach into the playbook a few times…. Regardless, nice W this week, but if the coaches are up to it, these guys can win again!

I actually think playing Texas will be a breath of fresh air after playing very mobile QB's in Sellers and Jennings.....we missed out on about 8 sacks against those guys because of there ability to escape.....but we were there........Ewers goes into a shell alot when pressured i noticed that against A&M and Georgia

Texas hasn’t seen the kind of bubble screens we do and will throw them completely off and have their defense on their heels.
On a serious note, I just hope we represent well and keep it close. I doubt we beat Taxes too. I only hope that Dabo takes a good look at his staff offseason. This does not include Reed,Eason, Rumph, or Matt Luke.

I don't see us beating Texas either BUT I also didn't think we'd beat USC or SMU and we beat SMU and should have beat USC. Also, Texas doesn't really have a running or mobile QB (unless they play Manning) which seems to be what we actually struggle with. So in short, I actually think we have a chance.

Texas is a very good team. But they got out-physicaled twice against Georgia.
Clemson has athletes that can approximate what Georgia showed against Texas. You guys just need to not get rattled in that environment in Austin. If Cade can keep his composure, I think Clemson will give Texas fits.
This is the CFP. Anything can (and likely will) happen.
There are no great teams this year. FGS, Notre Dame is in the thing, and they lost to Northern Illinois...

As I've posted elsewhere on here, my gf is a huge Texas fan, I've watched every game of theirs this season and saw one front and center in person (Vandy). With Ewers at QB, we're about exactly evenly matched (IMO). Arch adds another dimension, I'd be more worried about that, but Sark is stubborn (and reminds me of Dabo in a way) with how he's handling their qb thing. Anyway, I think it's a great matchup - very intrigued to see this one, we can absolutely do it if we show up. QE is good for 2-3 turnovers a game.

Clemson had a knack of scoring many points in 1st quarters this year, and the 1st half for that matter. If we can jump on them early, we have a great shot. Some interceptions and forced fumble recoveries will be in tall order. BYOG! Go Tigers!

They haven’t beaten a current top 25 team all year.
Are they really more talented than we are? We were ranked the #5 most talented team this year at the start of the season. I don’t know where they ranked, but it couldn’t have been much higher than we were.
My biggest concern is our coaching, but Dabo has coached a lot of these games and Sarkisian has not. At least not as the head coach.

Cade has played in that stadium in High School Championship games.
I still want to know how Sark let Saban know about our kickoff coverage gap in 2015. Was he an unofficial (is that legal) analyst in the booth for that game? Electronic communication was not allowed on the sidelines. Did he happen to call Saban's cell at halftime and Nick picked up? He wasn't hired until Sept 2016 from what I found.

I would argue the jury is still out on Texas (and PSU for that matter). Their best win was against Texas A&M. I feel they got overranked by beating Michigan and Oklahoma early in the year when those schools were assumed to be like last years versions of those teams.
I am good with going to Texas though. A December game at Penn St., Notre Dame, or Ohio St. for a Clemson team that is typically not used to playing in potentially frigid weather would not be beneficial for us. Memories of playing at Notre Dame the past two visits come to mind. At least playing Texas, if it's cold, then they do not get that much of a benefit relative to us.
