Ok, I'll bite. I think it was bad mojo on both parts. DJ definitely threw some shiddy passes Ross's way, but there were times where Ross looked like he was just going through the motions. Those two just weren't made for each other. I get your take with it being all on DJ, I just think Ross has a little responsibility in it to. Go Tigers!!!!

You tiny folks that skip day don’t realize that by doing so you are de creasing your brain capacity and overall intelligence, the quads and glutes are the two largest muscles in the body and by not engaging them regularly your brain actually become feminized and it shrinks. Women have smaller brains than men, it’s science and you are basically becoming a woman due to your lack of squatting and deadlifting, which is why you have such a dumb take.

It is very disappointing to see fans post something so negative about a player. IMO calling out players especially a post like this crosses a line I would we as CLEMSON fan’s would not cross. We are better than this to disrespect our players in such a negative comment. It’s post like this that reflects negatively on Clemson and the Clemson Family, and it could affect recruiting.
Last year we had a slightly off season but still won 10 games. DJ has made some great plays but it seems some fans only focus on any miscues he had last year. I did know a lot of catchable passes we dropped. It’s a team sport. You win or lose as a team.
I can’t remember so much pressure and criticism being directed at one player as DJ. When he filled in for TL the season before he made many awesome throws.
I feel if you can’t say something positive about a player or at least keep from throwing a player or player’s under the bus don’t post it. Or if you have to stop and think should I post this maybe it’s a post you should just put in your back pocket.
I am pulling for DJ to play lights out this coming season. And I think we as fans should leave the coaching and criticism to Dabo and his staff since they have built Clemson football into an Elite status program despite so many obstacles.

I agree with not throwing players under the bus. It IS hard to not point out that we went from a top 25 offense every year for the past 10 or so to almost dead last in college football. I’m worried that when DJ played lights out as a freshman, it was only because our opponents focused on stopping Etienne, and DJ had very easy reads to make with the box stacked. Once he faced balanced Defenses the next season it was not just bad, it was horrendous. He was ranked pretty much dead last in about every category. We can blame it on the OL, dropped passes, whatever; but all of those together shouldn’t put him DEAD LAST in the country. I would love to see him come out and be a top 5 QB, but I cannot see that happening. What is more likely: ALL of of our WRs forgot how to catch, or whenever the worst ranked QB in the entire nation throws a 90 mph quacking duck it’s almost impossible to catch. There is a reason that a good QB throws a spiral, it has better trajectory on deep routes, and keeps velocity without losing touch.
DJ needs to go pitch on the baseball team, I’m sure he would be great at that, but I have given up hope that he will ever be even a serviceable QB1 option. The longer we keep Klubnik on the sidelines, the more it is going to be hard to watch our offense.

A lot is on the line WUEagle. Dabo has brought two championships to Clemson with superior recruiting and coaching. Clemson is now debatably incapable of recruiting with Bama, UGA, Ohio St, TX A&M, TX and others due to NIL.
Consequently, QB and leadership has become more critical than ever. DW4 and TL16 (on back of CW42 and Power Rangers) won championships for Clemson by virtue of being exceptional pro-level QB's. DW4 built the championship level program at Clemson, and TL16 sustained it by making all the throws as a true freshman.
Clemson does not currently have the recruiting and the depth to dominate the best of the best in the playoffs. QB is the only equalizer, and DJ ranked in the 90's in QB rank. Top 10 Clemson QB play is needed to win it all. Hence, the aggressive criticism.

NIL Money $$$$$$$$$ has played a major factor in recruiting and teams like the ones you mentioned are the ones spending A$M basically bout their recruiting class. Be one positive is Jimbo Fisher is still the HC. Lol He is the chump of all chumps!
Clemson has financial challenges ahead. These new recruits have their top priority as $$$$$$$ unfortunately so do many of the recruits parents.
I am pulling for DJ to succeed and I hope his negative fan base has to eat a lot of CROW!

J Ross should have never come back. he should have entered the combine after his rehab while his stock was still salvageable. Everyone saw how his game suffered from the mental scar of taking that next big hit. If he would have gone straight to the draft he would have been able to workout without contact and show off his talents. He more than likely would have been drafted last year.

well not getting drafted is worse, he could have transferred, or stuck it out like Rogers. But he chose poorly., I wish him the best. If his neck is truly healed, someone will give him a shot. He is either good enough or he is not, but once you leave the structure of a college program, staying in shape and on top of your game is much harder, it requires a lot of discipline.

Look at Justyn's stats with Trevor as QB, then look at Justyn's stats with DJ as QB. Look at any of our receivers stats with DJ behind center. Tony Elliott was scared for DJ to throw the ball down field, heck, he was scared for DJ to throw the at any distance, but he had to put in pass plays to keep opposing defenses from loading the box on every down, and he was force to risk even the short passes, and that's the f ing truth, and it isn't T-Netters fault for seeing, and knowing the truth. I personally don't think that DJ will be the starter past game 3, if he makes it that long!!!

There is some truth to this. Ross had a terrible season production wise and that hurt him. When it came time to declare for the draft, what was he going to do? Stay and drop further, or leave and try to salvage some of his previous performance before the injury. If i were Ross, I wouldn't have wanted to stay and catch for DJ.
