But this team is playing a lot like the Lee teams: defensive and baserunning mistakes, not getting hits in a lot of clutch spots, leaving runners on base.
It's just not good baseball.

This team probably will still host a regional, but it's not going to be a top 8 seed. And no way is it going to a Super Regional, much less Omaha.
We need to reset the expectations for this program. Omaha is no longer it.
And the roster for next year will have some MAJOR holes. Recruiting and player evaluation has to improve. They really missed on some guys this year.

Bakich was hired to get us back to what we once were. His teams, like all the rest for the last 15 years have only gotten worse as the year goes on. Maybe less gimmicks and more baseball practice.

Class of 25 we are number 24 in recruiting…class of 26 we are number 8…portal will factor and mlb draft but not worried on recruiting and evaluation of talent. Just some guys aren’t performing that’s it of what they are very well capable of.

Honestly.....I used to....Its slipping for me since the UF series...
He has got to start coaching like the times or we will never get over that hump...the game has completely changed in the last decade...Kids are throwing much harder and the ball was adjusted for more offense/home runs...He MUST incorporate more analytics to his managing style...Period. Playing matchup is a KEY component in competing in baseball...Link Jarrett literally coached circles around EB tonight and it was obvious...The major impact of the game? The matchups...LH FSU hitters facing the RH pitchers...

We haven’t had pitchers in decades throw consistently over 93 mph…we had Gordon, Garris , grice that’s about it I know I’m missing a few low 90’s guys but Tennessee , nc state, Stanford even teams of like coastal and non p4 teams that have played clemson have guys consistently bringing it and monster dudes. I really think the strength program at Clemson has fallen off. Goes for a few other sports too

Coaching can only do so much with what you got. This program needs an upgrade in talent. There just not much talent offensively on this team other than Cam. And, yes I know he is having an off year for him, but he has a proven record. I do think he has improved the pitching staff as a whole, but this year’s team is worse offensively than last year’s team.
