I am 100% on board with DABO! He will fix this!

Oct 24, 2021, 12:37 AM

This guy made changes under his growth. He made his staff know he supports them 100% but when Steele was wrong, he was gone!

Offense went from Spence, to Napier, then he went wild with the Chad! But then had a radical idea that usually doesn't work where he had duel OC's that usually fails and many expressed concern for a year.

So when the Steele got released, we got an unexpected great DC. Now while I feel Dabo rode the Nepotism train too long and lived with either Clemson blood or former Bama players, I think he knows what to do and we will see changes this year. Dabo is not a failure, he could get a $9mil contract tomorrow, but I believe his ties to Clemson are strong with both family and 20yrs of love.

Now, while we don't like the season, let's give Dabo credit and he will do what needs to be done. Nobody thought he would get us beyond CTB and he has gone way beyond!

I am 100% Dabo! Let's go Tigers! We will correct our challenges!

I think 99% of actual Clemson fans that didn’t just show up 5-6 years ago def agree with you … I am in happy and like everyone see a lot of issues and things that need to be changed and evolved and it’s the staff… and no one is happy but I do trust that Dabo knows what he’s doing and will make it right … i just don’t see the other option at this point , atleast we all hope we don’t have to see it . We will get it back on track with a few more pieces and prob needed changes next year

I concur! You have fans that have ties to Clemson and have faith in our school and like Dabo. Then you have fair-weather fans that like Clemson because its cool.

Clemson has faired well with their fandom because most fans used to have some family or alum tie. Compare that to USCoots where non-alum and snowbirds move to SC and they feel the need to pull for what they think is the state university without any ties at all. So you have fans with zero ties shouting for their school supposedly, while most don't realize the better school "Clemson" both academically and Football os actually in the corner of the state!

Dang that's good! Let's go Clemson!

I think so too, it will be a positive sign if we are hearing about Puma at the next press conference. Hopefully, Dabo has slain the sacred cow and everyone is on an even playing field going forward.

I trust Dabo and his staff to make the right decisions. I would rather put my faith in them rather than some of the couch potato on Tigerner that have gone off the deep end.

10-4.....I lived thru the last 2 years of Frank Howard and the first two of Hootie. Four years and no winning season. Only my senior year beating the Caulks. I am not jumping for joy for this year"s results, but am very happy with the long term direction of our program. Love me some Dabo and Brent!

When he has time to reflect on what needs to be fixed
I stated some time ago
Small adjustments sometimes have the most impact
He has the players
How many years now have many said OL does not will not
push DL on a run play
Teams know what plays are going to be called
Looking form the outside in
Trust and communication would be a good starting point
RPO not working at this time even Dabo has said might be time
to stop calling them
If what you're doing is not working why keep doing it

All In !!!

I agree that Dabo will fix things but with the staff he currently has. You don’t always have to fire somebody to fix things.

As for CTB he laid down a solid foundation for Dabo to build off of. If we had hired some of the people many of you recommended IMO Clemson would be on probation or be looking for a 3rd or 4th HC. Tommy Bowden did a lot of positive things for Clemson. He just did not have the horses or the money Dabo has been given. He did the best with what he had to work with.

I wish everyone of you who continue to throw TB under the bus would face the same scrutiny on your jobs as you are doing to our Coaches and Players 24/7. I had a feeling the first time we had adversity some of you would start the same crap that has gone on since we ran Ken Hatfield off. Many of you may be on your 3rd or 4th job.

We have achieved things I don’t think anyone thought we could do. We hit a bump and some of you lose your minds. You think firing coaches and benching players is the only answer.

You are either All In or you are not. At a time when the coaches and teams need our support many fail to give it to them. Do criticize the coots because many fans act just like them.

Clemson has to work twice as hard as Bama and other SEC teams and OSU to be successful because the above teams are the media darlings who get the best press. Many media outlets look for any negative press to write about Clemson. IMO we are that Clemson family many talk about as long as we are winning. It’s possible we may never get another player out of California because of the way DJ is being treated.

Maybe some of you may not know but DJ is dealing with personal family problems while trying to play football, attend class and practice. He needs your support not your constant criticism.

Stop hiding behind you screen names while you torch our Coaches and players. Be careful what you want it may just lead us back to the Tommy West days.

For once after a loss or close win I would love to see everybody on board and behind our Clemson Tigers.

Those have been my beliefs all along and are now.

It's O.K. to express some criticism...that's what fanbases have done throughout the history of the game. It's what coaches and team members hear and read, and what they can expect. Therefore, they have to steel their nerves, accepting such as a given.

I don't expect any major overhaul during this season; rather, we'll know our H.C.'s thinking at season's end. What I believe will transpire will be some staff and personnel adjustments.

I agree that some criticism is acceptable and warranted. But some fan’s always have to go to far with their criticism. Firing a coach is not always the answer. Just ask FSU, Tenn, SC, and other schools that still have previous HC’s on their payroll. When Will Muschump was at SC he was still being paid by Florida. Now he is being paid by Florida, SC and his current employer.

It’s my opinion that we are going through a cycle that most teams go through. We do not have the same level of talent that we had 2 or 3 years ago. We are not two deep at most every position as before. We have had our share injuries as well as poor play. I think that stupid destructive transfer portal has a lot to do with it some of Clemson’s issues. Some of the guys who transferred out could possibly help right now. For example Lyn J Dixon. I agree that kids should be able to transfer out for certain reasons. But kids are abusing the privilege and the TP has become worse the pro free agency.

The TP I think it can take the competitive spirit out of some players. If the TP had existed 15 years ago we may have missed out of the great plays Adam Humphries, Hunter Renfrow and a few others who stepped up like Chase Brice.

Look at some of the positives. We held UGA ‘s offense to 3 points. Lower than anyone else. Now they are ranked number 1. We have a great coaching staff and some great talent coming in. We have the best fans and great facilities. We have had a historical 10 year run that surpasses anything in Clemson’s history.

I believe this team needs a couple of blue collar guys like Humphries and Renfrow who are hungry for playing time. Kid’s who are willing to work for it. They seem to make the 4 and 5 stars worker harder.

Sadly now It seems like keep kids are more concerned with making money from NIL than they are at becoming better football players. And if the competition gets to tuff then they know they can rely on the good old TP. NIL $$$$$ and the TP have ruined college football and some of the kids too.! Conference expansion will not help us in recruiting. With Texas and Oklahoma going to the SEC it will possibly hurt our recruiting in those areas. Only time will tell.

And let’s look at the ACC this year. When is the last time NC State Wake Forest, NC and Pitt had such good teams. Pitt has a really good team this year. GA Tech has really improved. And everybody on our schedule has been circling the Clemson game waiting to beat us. We have been a hunted Tiger since our last NC.

I know it feels like we are stagnant right now but if fans will keep the faith , support the coaches and players through this difficult period then I am confident we will be back sooner than later kicking Bama, OSU and other top teams butts. But it requires patience and believing in your coaches and your team. There will always be peaks and valleys. A great family sticks together and is supportive of each other.

Look at LSU. Ed O is headed out the door just a couple of years after beating Clemson in the NC. Gus is gone from Auburn, Muschump is back to being a coordinator again. Chad Morris is back in HS football. FSU are still looking to find another Bobby Bowden while Miami continues to go through HC after HC.

I don’t want the Clemson Tigers program to be like those programs. That’s why I keep saying stay supportive and get behind the coaches and this team and let them know they can and will get back to the top.
