and can be out of control. I think they live by a different set of laws than us.
That said, I see these younger guys walking the road by my house at night constantly. Hoodie on, hood up, dark clothing, and it'll be like 10:00 at night. Sorry, but I'm assuming they're up to no good, and I'm sure the cops would too. I usually spot light them if I can, and they tend to scurry away. But you can't tell me they're just little innocent Trayvon's trying to get home to see their mama.

But I see how they could make this mistake in this particular situation. It's dark, the person is seemingly trying to conceal their identity, and they've got what appears to be a gun in their hand. Quite a different scenario from say, the Seneca incident.

I've got a bb pistol at the house. Looks like a real gun. I don't walk down the street waving it at people.
The article said they tried to taze him, but they aren't releasing the video.

Love when the blame falls on the officers that it was a good kid/person. Then you find out they have 32 arrest.

No but like you said I don't walk down the street with a gun regardless of type. And I've never been arrested. So typically I'm not confronted by the police. A lot of the people shot have had multiple run ins with the law and officers know they are trouble. Bottom line is I usually don't feel bad for trouble makers who end up on the wrong end. They aren't productive members of society and don't chip in. I don't care what color they are. My wife has a half sister that is a piece of #### too. Hope that's not to honest and hurtful for peeps.

If someone is waving a gun around and fails to follow simple instructions it makes one wonder wth are you thinking. If I'm doing something and an officer gives me instructions, I'll save my ### and do what he/she says.

beanbag loads from a shotgun from behind cover? It seems like that would be a little more effective than the proximity in which you have to get to make a taser work. A half dozen beanbag loads and the suspect is alive, and has a long life in which to remember the pain of waving a gun of any type around in front of cops. Beanbag loads are effective up to 75 feet, as opposed to a taser being effective between 15 and 25 feet. Given the option in non-lethal ordinance, I know what I would choose.

You know the answer to this but I will spell it out for you.
1.) Nobody is fine with it but many consider a threat from an object that looks just like a pistol to be just cause for the use of lethal force. Do you propose that when a gun is pulled on a cop that the cop ask to examine the gun to make sure that it is indeed real, loaded and operational before he or she defends himself or herself or others?
2.). I know of no place where it is legal to carry a weapon openly in an airport but if that is the law in a location then I guess the authorities have to go with it. Does this happen? Also, very few gun owners actually have assault weapons which are capable of select fire or full auto. If you do not like the laws change them.
Now a question for you. The cop in Ferguson shot Michael Brown and killed him. Obama et al used this as a rallying cry against police brutality towards innocent black males. Obama and Holder investigated to the nth degree and found the cop innocent. They had every incentive to find the cop guilty and hang in in the public square and they had the full power of the Federal government to get this done. They found him innocent. Why are we still discussing this case? Why do Democrat politicians discuss this case when their executive branch found the officer innocent? Why never any mention of the proportion of bad police work versus the extreme violence present in "the community" carried out by members of "the community"? WHy do your beloved Democrat politicians never denounce gang-bangers and drug dealers who fill the morgues and emergency rooms every weekend? Why no mention of racist gun control laws in places like Chicago that do not work and leave innocent minority citizens cowering in their dwellings while gangs rule the streets?
