Another season flushed down toilet with Brownell crap.

For the life of me I can't understand why so many folks are complaining, we should be use to it after 15 years of the same!!!:)

It's been the last 35 years of the same. Clemson has ZERO basketball tradition.

I know. I keeping thinking back to all ...

Feb 4, 2024, 12:53 AM [ in reply to Re: TNET: Tigers suffer another heartbreaking loss as they go cold from the field ]

.... those consecutive NCAA tourney appearance years when we were disappointed we didn't make the Elite 8. If we only we had any of those Clemson coaches back.

14-6 in ACC last year

Without a doubt, a better team this year but currently 4-6

I don't get it but enough is officially enough

I don't think we're better this year.

It is NEVER ENOUGH - CBB lives on in infamy - he leaves when he is ready

JG3 has no hustle and throws bombs is one problem and frankly just seems to me as a team they just don’t want to put in the extra effort to win . Still a fan though Go Tigers

Pump them up to be the team to beat in the conference…and welcome back to the normal. Same stuff, different year.

No, it’s not heartbreaking. I had little hope we’d win this game. Brad can’t beat UVA for whatever reason

That does seem to be the case no doubt. I really did think we'd win comfortably. No, not a blowout, but a 70-58 type game. I did not see it coming that we'd be out rebounded. I think this is his best team, hence my early prediction that we'd win the conference. Especially after our non conference schedule. The teams we beat are holding their own.

I still think this can be a special year... despite the fact we can't seem to string 2 acc wins in a row.

I agree.

We are so close to being 17-4 right now and 7-3 in the ACC.

One made free throw against Georgia Tech. A no call on Duke’s last possession. One made basket today. That’s it.

A razor thin margin for error.

We are a good team, we just need to persevere and believe that some of the breaks will start going our way soon.

Re: I agree.

I disagree. You make your breaks. I know I'm being redundant but Brownell is the Paul Johnson of BB. His style of play will not get shooters. Play makers. Its obvious we don't have any. Guys that hit shots consistently. Or when you need them. So we grind it out. He'll always be competitive and end every season over 500. But nothing noteworthy.

I knew we would lose. Bennett is a better coach.

"I love this place, I've got a spot already picked out where I want 'em to put me when I die - up there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays; then I won't have to go Heaven; I'll already be there."- Frank Howard

Nah, we'll get into the ncaa. Maybe not quite as high of a seed, but we'll be in.

Unfortunately I dont think we make the Tment. We have to win 70% of our remaining schedule just to be above .500 in acc. I dont see that happening and I don't think barely over .500 gets us in. I think we played our way out today.

I hope we reject an NIT bid - if we get one. This routine is worn out.

Home game against them is in March.

Tony Bennett has his team better coached to stifle our offense than CBB has our offense prepared to break down their defense.

Very basic, down one point with seven seconds left: drive and make a lay-up, or get fouled. So frustrating to watch.

Re: TNET: Tigers suffer another heartbreaking loss as they go cold from the field

Feb 3, 2024, 6:37 PM

Yes, Hall was underneath but we missed so many layups today I was hoping for the last second foul call on the drive if we would’ve learned from last week’s loss. Guess that only works for Duke at home.

There were only 2 players guarding Chase Hunter, not 3. 2 defenders and a Tiger uniform will not get you a call, so passing to an open shotter was the right call.

seems like at some point you have to look at the coaching philosophy of just being a perimeter shooting team and not changing the game attack plan or if it's possible with the players you have.

We are going to win the NIT tournament this year boys!

Brownell will always be a bum a$$ coach. Dude has a top-15 roster and still finds a way to f@#k it up. Tiger nation...this dude has to go. Been saying this the last 5 years. He needs to go coach go back to coaching the mid majors.
