Lawrence has a stronger arm, takes more risks and is a better athlete.
Manning was better at picking apart a defense with adjustments and pinpoint accuracy.

Manning’s strongest aspect of his game was the cerebral part. He was a coach on the field, and it’s why he is by far the greatest quarterback of all time. It is also what Lawrence likes most about Manning and has wanted to emulate since a young lad in high school. I saw shades of Manning all night in Lawrence based on his making checks, finding the open man, and making very accurate throws.
What is scary is that Lawrence is stronger and more athletic than Manning. There is no limit to this kid.

Not sure Manning as a pure freshman was better than Lawrence at any of those things. Sure he was as a professional, or even possibly as an upperclassman.

Lawrence is definitely further along than Peyton at this stage. David Cutcliffe said the same thing.

Lane Kiffin don't know dip squat about football or he would have been able to hold a steady job -- he has a big mouth ego and lands jobs on his daddy's reputation -- he should just fade into the Florida sunset and leave coaching to the ""big boys"" ___________but that is just my humble opinion**

Well, let's see...Trevor studies film and manipulates defenses like Peyton...if his receiver isn't open, he throws high to draw a flag or other response from the DB...he reads the pressure like Peyton...he audibles like Peyton...he is "6'5" with a rocket arm" like Peyton (6'6", actually)... he is projected to be the #1 pick but might returner to school for his 4th year like Peyton.
But different from Peyton, Trevor has already won more national championships than Peyton...he doesn't throw as many picks as Peyton...he hasn't yet (in the 16 games I've seen) led a receiver into a crushing hit like Peyton (or even like Deshaun did to Mike Williams)...nor has he had an award named after him like Peyton and the other Mannings...or signed numerous endorsement deals...hosted SNL...won 2 Super Bowls (yet)...been a rival to Tom.Brady...been a class act representing his school, sport, family and country (for nearly so long)...donated enough $ to build and staff an entire pediatric hospital...did i leave anything out?
